Another game that i am very impressed with Fedun, his defense has been good and he is what we expected Franson to be on the PP. No matter how much traffic in front of the net he always gets it through.

Does anyone know why he has never stuck with a big club? Seems like he was never given a chance. But he may be a diamond in the Ruff. Solid 3rd pairing/PP D-man.

Following his 2010–11 standout season playing Division I hockey with the Princeton Tigers, Fedun was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Edmonton Oilers.

Fedun impressed the Oilers at the 2011 Young Stars Tournament in Penticton, British Columbia, and continued to impress throughout the Oilers' pre-season games, remaining on the roster after other young high performers, such as Tyler Pitlick and Curtis Hamilton, have been sent to the Oilers' AHL farm team, the Oklahoma City Barons.

Prior to the 2011–12 season, when the Oilers' roster sat at 32 players, with 9 more needing to be cut before the team's final roster was made, Fedun was tripped by the Minnesota Wild's forward, Eric Nystrom, and fractured his femur during a preseason game while attempting to retrieve the puck and force an icing. Fedun suffered a complex fracture to his right femur and missed the entire 2011–12 season after a rod was put in his leg. This was the second time the NHL's icing policy led to a fractured femur in the post-lockout era, with the previous injury occurring to former Wild defenseman Kurtis Foster in 2007. The icing rule was changed for the 2013-14 season to reduce the risk for potentially damaging collisions.

We're missing out on too many points they need to go with Nilsson in the shootout I don't care if he's cold

Nilsson isn't any better in shootouts. He gets beat like a drum too

Honestly, if we score more than a single goal a game, things like face offs and shootouts aren't a discussion.

Lehner was good. This team needs to play to win games, and needs a puck carrying D man badly.

Also, they need to keep Kane with Larsson, even when Eichel is vack. They play well together

If there's one thing i took issue with during that babchase its the perception that hes some demi god looking for the ultimate challenge. Pleeeeeaaaassee. The writing was on the wall for aging wings and the leafs were rich with young talent, the decision to jump ship was not for some challenge it was smart, and definitely great for his career/reputation.

I know theres another blog, but my question wasnt regarding that one particular game, it was players in general. Meaning, how can you be a center in the NHL and say you have never spent much time practicing faceoffs? Its part of your job as a center!
If i have to make concrete references, i will! Dont force me!
