If we're gonna compare to other firsts like stamkos, Kane, Tavares etc . Without a doubt he's not in that class.
But he's already had multiple seasons of close to 60 and is rounding into a fantastic two way player. And is only 23.
There's more offence in him as well, but he's getting all the tough assignments so leon gets easier matchups. He faces the seguin and tarasenkos every night.
I'd be more than happy with seasons around 60 and elite defensively going forward.
Closer to 40 And quality defensively isn't enough though. He'll start getting some bounces offensively I think

Eberle is our kessel. And there is nothing wrong with that.
I'd show him his WJC highlights, his first NHL goal, just to remind him of what he is capable of. He's a clutch player and can make scoring look easy. You can't replace that.
