The offense wasn't there tonight, and far too many turnovers. Still took it to a shootout. To this point in the season, this team is in a lot of games. I would like to see them find away to win more games in regulation. They're close, but still have areas that need to be cleaned up.

I think our best players have to be our best players but at the same time, put these players in a position to succeed. Cousins probably deserves to play. Schenn needs to play with more talented players. I just don't like the start of the season experiments. I say this not as a Schenn fan but a guy who has a pretty good idea of the player that he is. He's not gonna carry a line alone. The small offensive numbers are gonna leave everyone sour on him through no fault of his own. I'm okay with knowing Schenn is a compliment to others, not a driving force.

the plus is Mason played very well. Lets hope its a start to getting him game on track
