No quite the opposite.

We are in transition, with which should come lower expectations, maybe the circle should lower their expectations and lems should increase their expectations. we all have our own passion for the club.
I am not the biggest fan of WD, but I don't see what the rush is to fire him.
I'm all for seeing where we are at around the 30 game mark and if we are out of it, I hope we are a bottom 5 team. If we are in a playoff spot or close, I will be happy.
Either way, a coaching change could be done for a push for the playoffs or as a reaction to being out of it. Mind you, if we are out of it, what is the rush to replace WD?
I'm a fan, and either way, want to be entertained. If they are going to fire WD, they may as well demote JB to head scout and get a new gm because this team has lacked scoring and grit for so long and still miss it.
I'd rather pick a new coach in the off season than mid season. - hillbillydeluxe
If we are a bad team, I don't like the idea of trying to win at the cost of Bo/JV/Baer/granlunds development. primarily JV out of them as the others get lots of ice time. WD will always try to win and play lines accordingly, but the way he deploys lines is still horrible. He seems to think DD can be a 30 goal scorer the way he gets played sometimes. I understand he doesn't get a crazy amount of ice time. But i sometimes see him getting more Ozone starts than Bo some games. I also notice he gets played in ciritcal game situations where most other coaches would bench him, gaune, burrows and roll the other 3 lines for the last 5 mins to try and tie the game. |

Needed one about every 10 minutes but those Nazis no longer allow us to leave the rink at any point. |

Don't you want your energy guys getting offensive zone starts, banging D, cycling instead of chasing the puck and defending?
Giving Bo so many D zone starts is a compliment to his game. |

Hmm against the not big at Center Sens WD has converted Bo into A power forward and given beef to a second line. Third line not bad either with Granlund ... JV & Baer. Tree is putting up some hits out there presence known... and hard shot too... hmm makes a what if: him and Stecher both in the line up can balance things out...? Would that make Tanev expendable ... get us a lotto pick first rounder or young power power forward...? |

At this point those teams needing D have playoffs on the mind.... so the question would be would you trade our 1st rounder for a Hall or a Landeskog type...? |

Shea Weber makes it tough, I think hes great and makes the overall D better but I think Emelin and Markov are extremely over rated, giving Van an edge in depth
Top 4 of Edler-Tanev-Hutton-Gudbranson I would take over Weber-Emelin-Petry-Markov
Top 6 of Sedin-Sedin-Louie, Sutter-Hansen-Granlund again I would take over Radulov-Galchenyuk-Gallagher, Patches-Desharnes(or Pleks)-Shaw. They might have more future upside with the two Gallys but as a group of 6, they wouldnt scare me
Im not saying one team is miles ahead of the other, I just think Montreal is extremely overrated and not that different from Vancouver - WhiteLie

I'd bet a month's salary a team like the Leafs would not trade their 1st for Tanev. A team that's contending, different story. |

Not when we re down. I want the guys who will most likely put up a goal for us playing. |

No, but if our pick landed outside the top 5-10 after lotto and we were close to contending and just needed to solidify our D. Yes, yes i would. |

Depending on the draft, maybe. The problem is, there is no way to know that 12 games into the season. |
