All I am saying is Van does not appear to be a fan. He's in his second season but Van won't even give the kid a preseason game. Why? If he was first rate prospect and he puts up those types of numbers then he deserves a chance to prove him self.

Apparently the new development is that if Vegas signs a UFA during their exclusive window, they can no longer select a player from that team. So if they take Miller, that becomes their selection from Vancouver, and depending on which goalies are available (ie Bishop, or rookies like Subban/Valislevski) Miller might actually be an attractive to help groom a younger goalie as opposed to taking Sbisa/Gaunce/Biega/etc.

Miller is Canuck property until July first.

The expansion draft is in June. Canucks can not protect Miller unless he is extended. If Vegas come to an agreement with Miller while he is a UFA then that counts as the Canuck player taken by Vegas.

He hasn't deserved one yet. It may be the best thing that happened to him . They pissed him off now he is paying attention to both parts of his game and is Comets best player.

I like the idea of trading Tanev for Trouba, but I get the impression the canucks wouldnt. They seem to value the intangibles Tanev brings to the rink every night. All I see is a series of walking boot injuries from blocking so many shots.

I wonder if Sven plus CBJ 2nd gets Kane. Not because Sven sucks a bag of phallic appendages again, but because we need to size up. I watched LA vs ANA last night and they gooned it up on every board battle, every net front scrimmage, even off the faceoffs... Sure, we need to put pucks in the net, and Kane can help with that, but this team needs some muscle and dorsett just doesn't cut it.

Since NYR and MTL are looking for a player exactly like Chris Tanev, naturally he would fetch a good price.

Only problem with making trades at this moment is very few teams have cap space to add a 4+ contract. If they want Van to take salary back better come back with a good pick. As long as the contract they are taking back ends this season. Don't need to be like the leafs and have 20 some million in the minors.

Detroit. They have the return the canucks need, either a guy like Larkin or a package for Sproul, Mantha/Anathasiou. I would be willing to take on additional 2 years Howard's contract if it meant Larkin was coming over.

I had a dream.... about what may be....

Canucks trade Tanev in a package (to Canes?) and also get a first round pick back that turned into a lotto pick. They win the lotto with that draft pick and get Patrick. They make playoffs too by sending their 1st rounder plus Granlund and Subban for E. Kane a skating scoring power forward.

Next season Patrick turns out to be just as NHL ready as Mathews. Patric plays with BB and LE on a line. Twins still have Hanson. Bo elevates Baer and JV. Sutter meshes with E.Kane and Rodin. Stecher, Tree & OJ play on D with Sbisa taken in expansion draft.

Canucks have 4 Lines that can score and play a faster and more skilled with a better, tougher and skilled D. They are now considered a Cup contender and win it for the twins as other top teams suffer key injuries.

Dreams may they come true and turn the tide of despair .... In the meantime patience and luck is our hope
