If I was WD I would try something like this just to avoid the predictability and speed issues .
Daniel Bo Loui
Hank Sutter Hansen
Sven Gaunce Granlund
Burrows Labate Dorsett - VANTEL
I might be on board with this. Get the Sedins rolling with a split line up. As good as Bo has been he can't carry a goalless baertchi the entire year...And Sutter and Hansens speed should make room for Hank. Pull Gaunce into a room like they did with Horvat the first year an say here is the third line kid...roll with it.
I don't know much about Lebate on whether he would compliment Burrows and Dorsett or not. I would love to see the Lapierre/Torres checking line relived...but that aint gonna happen with Burr and Dorsett. |

Morning bro, but I think you're mixing the groups, there's a lot of drama though.. - Makita
Afternoon.....I agree completely with you the circle jerkers are the ones who bring the drama |

Still with the mixed messages. Thought the idea was a rookie had to be significantly better than a veteran to make the club. Stecher has looked good. Deserves to be with the club more than JV.
Wondering if the wcoh hurt more than it helped? LE penciled in with the Sedins, but hasn't had much of a chance to build chemistry with other team mates.
Seeing Horvat with Burr and DD is a bit disappointing if it is beyond the opening faceoff.
making the playoffs would be great, a top 5 pick would be good too... I just want the games to be hard fought, some scoring, and I can live with any outcome. - hillbillydeluxe
Been wondering the same thing. At times the team has played so sloppy that it looks like it hasnt played together before |

While I dont think it was their best game, I agree with the rest. Everyone looks out of sorts; passes aren't crisp and decision-making on the ice has been questionable. I really think on paper, excluding the goalie factor, that the Canucks have a better lineup of skaters than Montreal but things are clicking for them which has them in 1st. - WhiteLie
I thought that they limited Montreal's chances and created a lot of their own. Miller let in a stinker and Price played really well.
The edmonton game might of been better but both games were the only two games of the season that I think they showed up for 60 and deserved the win. |

Fair points, I guess I just didnt have any memorable moments of cohesion from the group in Montreal which might cloud my judgement. The plays they had in the offensive zone towards the end of the game just seemed scrambled and scrappy for the most part |

First and second period I thought they looked really good. Edler had 3 or 4 back door opportunities foiled. Granlund had a couple of prime chances in the slot, Hansen fed Daniel through the crease and missed. Bo had an awesome power move, Henrik had a couple of dangerous shots, Eriksson broke his stick with an empty net in front of him, Sutter had a couple of slick plays infront of the net.....
Those are just a couple off the top of my head but I though the Canucks thoroughly outplayed the Habs. |

That would be interesting but, I can't remember a game where the Sedins didn't start or finish as linemates. I don't think they have ever been split up for a complete game. Maybe now is the time to do it.
Daniel Henrik Hansen
Sven Bo LE
Granlund Sutter
Burrows Labate Dorsett
less drastic of a mix up than you have shown.
Really, I look at the middle 6 and wonder where the scoring is going to come from? Too bad Rodin has had his struggles with rehabbing from injury. we are one 20 goal scorer short in our middle 6 and it is compounded by the fact LE and Sven have yet to light the lamp.
hope the team can get it going over the next 15-20 games and if not, liquidate or try any means to acquire picks which is difficult with only Burrows likely seen as a rental or we take on a teams salary dump. |

Since we have not seen the Kuze in months , I have been the biggest cheerleader here. I said and still do say they finish 14-18 . That is is a 500 team.
It is bloody painful watching this now because the team is snake bitten to score. It is so bad that after the game last night Eriksson was so pissed off he went to throw his jersey on the floor and missed.
I still think we are that team but again , if I am wrong we get a high pick. |

I think it was on the second goal that Miller seemed too far over, past his left post, to have a chance to slide to his right. it is almost as though to move right he transfers his weight to the left to push right, rocking... anyway, if we don't score, we aren't winning. I can only blame Miller for so much.
hope we get some bounces tonight. |

Wow never heard that one before.
Ps: Trouba has said he doesn't see a fit in Canada - Scooby_Doo
So? He's a RFA. Personally, I'd do what the jets are doing too: he hasn't proven he's there yet. At best 4 for 3 year bridge or take a year off. He'll sign, you'll see. He's not bargaining from a position of strength, he can say what he wants. |

They are better than they have shown but I still think the only way they make the playoffs is if everything goes right. We are seeing how it looks when just the offense is dry.
