It's actually good for us he got sent down, because we are a worse team without him.

Subban with another 2 points last night and imo was one of the best players on the ice for Utica in both ends but I only caught the 2nd half of the game.
He's going to force a call up at some point this season if he keeps this play up. |

I'd be happy with Patrick, Vilardi, or Hirschier. All 3 look like they could be henriks replacement in time. I prefer Patrick as he could step into NHL right away and Henrik could give him the time he needs to learn to be that guy. With the other 2, it would likely be Bo/Sutter giving them that time as I think Henrik may retire after his contract, maybe sign for 1 more season. I think it will ultimately be his back that causes the retirement. Doctors/Family may convince him to retire before some of his issues become more permanent/unmanageable. |

Definitely a good problem to have 3 prospects deep on D is better than 2 |

If I was Van the only way I would sign the Sedins after this contract is over is if it was for 1 yr at a time and for no more then 3.5 mil a yr each |

Van Should trade him right now while he is playing well. It obviously appears they don't have a lot of confidence in him.

I think they will trade him but there is no rush. He will continue to put up points in the AHL and hopefully improve his value. Right now, we would probably get a 3rd round pick for him. |

The longer he plays in the AHL the less he's worth. |

That's not true. He is still on his ELC. We are not talking about a 26 year old |

The longer he plays there the more he just becomes an AHL player. He needs to be given a chance and it ain't happening in Van. Van won't even give the guy a preseason game.
Besides, do you think he's going to get better then he is right now? |

So, we are sending Stecher down to the minors, even though he's vastly outplayed Larsen and Biega (not to mention Tryamkin)?
How does the brass think stuff like this will fly with the players? When demotions are decided, not by their play on the ice, but by promises management made to underperforming players during the off-season? |

Expansion draft. Why Waive Larsen and Biega to the minors and play stecher (not eligible). As much as it sucks, keeping Sbisa and Biega and playing them until they meet the expansion threshold is the best thing. |

Are the RFA's eligible for the expansion draft? I know UFA's aren't but not sure about RFA's

I think he will get better playing more minutes there than playing fewer minutes here.
He is still young . Good to see him doing well hope he continues to grow. |

Vegas can scoop an unprotected RFA or one of your pending UFA, then they can not take another player from you. |
