And yet we have the same records
- VANTEL

Flames have allowed 40 goals against already, worst in the league, despite having some great young forwards, they're (frank)ed unless they learn how to play at both ends.

That's the depressing part ,you can't start until 2 more years.

It has already started .... they are younger and have only a few players left from 2011 era

We are (frank)ed until the Sedins move on. I don't particularly care for WD, but like you said, he is just trying to keep his job
- CanuckDon

I don't get that .... okay let's say Sedins retire tomorrow. Now what...? How does that improve this team...?

Well CAROL Canucks stayed positive and took it too the still undefeated in regulation time league leading Habs. Don't score first don't get goals you don't get wins. The uphill battle and crazy schedule continues. Guess this is why the Nucks were picked to fail so bad.... but they still have room to turn it around

They are the focal point of the offense. They get 100% of the opportunities. They aren't built for the modern NHL. TOO SLOW. Also, they still produce enough that we won't truly bottom out. We can't win with them on our top line and we can't lose with them either

Can he still play for the Hitman ?
- Redmile247

I wish
should have spent last season there.

But people on this board seriously thought PPG numbers mean you no longer have anything to prove in junior.

We bottomed out just fine last season .... just because Canucks can't win lotteries isn't their fault. Hey if they can't win with them who is going to step in to win without them at this point?

Also I don't see them getting tons of minutes above the other lines. Yeah PP1 but it's no like PP2 is lighting it up. This team is only a couple years into a rebuild that started with no assets and one prospect or two to add like Horvat and Hutton. It will take a while and Only way Sedins become an issue is if we didn't have the Cap money to sign UfA's. So if bringing in Ladd on top of LE would have made all the difference then it's probably not accurate. Lack of true super star UFA make this just a slow build.

I don't believe we will be as bad as last year....I believe we will finish between 20-25 despite how poorly we are playing. The "first" line will inevitably start producing more

So still a lotto to win makes no difference really ... Sedins in your scenario then don't f$uck the Canucks

Well I suppose it depends if you believe you need a top 5 pick to get a star player. Most do. I'm patient and don't care but I certainly can't wait for a more exciting brand of hockey that what the Sedins currently offer. They are great Canucks and I'll wait out the process but I don't want them resigned

Resigning them just holds off a true rebuild for a few more years. Hopefully this team will fail this year so FA will except reality.

You keep saying this but don't answer what a true rebuild would look like....? What diffferent things should be happening...?

If you want the Sedins resigned, that's fine, you are entitled to your opinion. I'm not saying it is wrong it's just not what I want to see as a paying customer

No Miller
No Vrbata
No Loui
No trading picks
Jettisoning anyone over the age of 30 when torts was fired
Play the crap you have in the system until you bank enough truly gifted prospects to develop a new core group of players.

Once that is done you...

Sign an experienced goalie like Miller
Sign a one dimensional player like Vrbata to create scoring depth
Sign a top six veteran winger like Loui
Trade for a big, young #1 Dman like Grabs

Who said anything about re-signing the Sedins you are talking about now and accepting reality for a true rebuild to take place .... so what does that mean or look like...?
