Not true. Check again.

to clarify, i meant he hadn't been on it all this time up until the scuderi move. i agree with you that it would make sense to put 32 on LTIR over 12, if indeed that's what just happened.

so what's the speculation on what will happen with the money that's just been freed up? Can't really trade for someone because of the bind that will create when the LTIR folk are ready to come back... Is someone(s) getting traded before the walking wounded come back?

Muzzin is such a dumb player. No player has done more to harm the team this season than him. It's not even close. He's been culpable on one or two goals in nearly every game so far. In past years, I'd be upset, but I can only laugh now. If they're going to be mediocre, they may as well just be bad and get a higher draft pick, and Muzzin is doing the most to make that happen.

come on, this is a group effort of suck. everyone is doing their part to help suck equally

and news (frank)ing flash.... Gaborik and Quick aren't going to fix it. it feels like 94 through 2010 again , this is what it's like to be a kings fan. #believe! 2 cups and some deep runs, but it is (frank)ing over now. mark my words, sutter and DL will do nothing to fix this either. Yall heard Jim during the broadcast, they are just going to sit back and do nothing but pat each other on the back and "figure out" how to get it done. no one will get their ass chewed no one will get benched and the suck will just keep growing out of control .

upside: they are back on a losing streak and my fulfill my prophecy of stringing 20 games in a row.

EDIT* I don't want to hear poop about advanced stats

gotta think 32 would have to be out for the season to deal for someone of note...and the price would likely mean mortgaging the future even more. no bueno.

even more so, gotta factor in who you'd protect in the expansion draft along with any deal you make now. back to calling up a few of the prospects and give them a look to see if they can help stem the tide. you already know what you have with seto, king, cliffy, andreoff, nolan, greene, etc...

You've had a collection of about 4 posts on my blogs, all of them have been to discredit the information provided and to lambaste me for my praise of Jake Muzzin. Is there anything else you'd like to add to the discussion? This shtick is growing old already my friend.
- Jason_Lewis

Sorry for doing this Jason, but I'm going to use your own words from last year to call out Osprey again, as I think it's now been about 400 posts for the same purpose.

I can handle losing, it's gonna happen through the course of a season.

Losing the way the Kings are losing is what is bugging me.

if they were hard fought losses and everyone was just getting edged out effort wise but playing smart and putting at least some effort into it I would totally take it with a grain of salt and rally for my team.

but this? this pansy spastic no show of an effort. that is where I draw the line.

everybody got all pumped for those 3 overtime wins they eeked out and that one shoot out win and kept pointing to the advanced stats. This squad is not gonna flip a switch or figure it out. it is a talent and desire thing.

I see Carter with a lot of talent and no desire.
I see Brown with desire but just riddled with fail and waning talent.
Matt Greene not talent no skill = pylon.
Dwight king herping derp up and down the ice.
Setoguchi some talent and desire, nothing to show for it
Toffoli, tons of talent, sporadic effort nothing to show for it.
Lewis is Lewis.
Clifford, desire and fail... and it goes right through the line up.

if you think somehow they are going to pull out a win on thursday you are high as poo. We are going to see a hockey clinic put on buy the Pens and it will be a face down a$$ up disaster

That's true, but that hasn't stopped you from calling out King and Brown recently (and a host of others just now). Everyone has a few players who they're critical of. For some reason, though, no one but me is ever willing to criticize Muzzin, even though he's costing the team on a nightly basis. Someone has to point it out, because it feels like he gets a huge pass from everyone else, while the critique goes, instead, to marginal players like King, Brown, Greene and Forbort, who have much lower expectations, ice time and responsibilities.

upside: they are back on a losing streak and my fulfill my prophecy of stringing 20 games in a row.
- MikeOxbyg

Well, they're 10 games in and still without a regulation win. That's almost the same. They'll never lose 20 in a row, but they might just make it to 20 without a regulation win at this rate. Pivot to that and keep the prophecy alive.

Hey ... silver lining there with my prophecy, good on ya

and I will completely agree with you about Muffin. he was good last year, but he has been drinking heavily from the fail hose this year. Makes McNaab look like a (frank)ing all star.

at least Doughty stopped sucking so I could get off of him.

this team is in big trouble and the organization's complacency about it is going to be like dumping gas on a fire to put it out

Well, this sucks.

I just hope DL has the fortitude not to make any panic moves. The last thing we need are more picks shipped out for immediate help. Lord knows we don't have the prospect depth to make any impact moves.

Dude, does Muzzin make mistakes? Yes, but he's also played some real good hockey.
Get off his back because there's plenty of blame to go around.

The windows closed and will not reopen as long until at least 2020... But you know what, (frank) it. I saw two cups won and before that I saw a lot of poop in a Kings uniform. I don't even get upset at what I see this team doing right now.

The happiest person has to be DB: no need to field the lions share of questions, go about his 12-15 TOI every night and stay invisible and continue to get PAID...

Sutter needs to go and he shouldn't be replaced by P(L)aine. Boy it would be nice to have Tippett patrolling our bench...

He has one point and a defense-corps-worst -5, and eye test confirms that he's struggling. You might as well argue that the whole team has played "real good hockey" if that's how low the bar is set.

Tell that to Darryl Sutter...
“[Budaj] wasn’t very good. You look at the shots and scoring chances, he wasn’t very good. That’s clear. It’s not … I don’t pull goalies very often but they’re expected to make some saves,” Sutter said. “When they score (late in the) first period that’s deflating to your hockey club.”

"There's plenty of blame to go around" is what people say when they don't want to criticize anyone. That never solves anything. You have to start somewhere, and if you're not willing to start with the players playing the worst, then you never will solve anything.

It'll be Stevens, remember. He's the Associate Coach, whereas Paine is just an Assistant. It's hard to imagine, but, after finally letting Sutter go, times might well get darker before they get lighter. Perhaps, though, if Lombardi is let go, too, the new GM wouldn't feel any obligation to Stevens, but that might be getting hopes up too high.

It's your continued fixation on Muzzin that's a bit overboard.
Teams not playing well that's a given. And yes I've seen some signs of good hockey being played. You're the type who would find something wrong with Muzzin if he were plus 10 With 10 goals so I guess there's really no point in further comment.

"Our game plan, it’s not going to change. There’s nobody coming in on a white horse to play goal for us or score goals or to come up from Ontario. This is our team."

This to me is the scariest quote of all. and if that's how the kings intend to move forward, then they are basically saying that this losing streak and the fashion they are losing in is going to continue.

It is a personnel problem, and we do have a mixture of what we have in ontario and what we have in the big show that could change the complexion of the team.

I am getting more and more on board with sitting back and watching this dumpster fire hit its peak.

I wouldn't have to keep bringing him up if others would hold him accountable. I don't like having to do it, but it's perplexing how everyone else treats him with kid gloves and excuses and defends him no matter what. If someone is pulling the team down and everyone else is turning a blind eye, should I just turn a blind eye, as well? I could rag on Brown, too, but he gets enough from most everyone else, so I don't bother. I usually bother to say something only when it's something that others aren't saying.

This hockey is unwatchable!!! The Kings are here to entertain us first and foremost. A lot of the fans have been calling for the kids to come up and I've been resistant but it's time for Kempe. Let him learn the pro game on Kopitar's wing. His speed and confidence with the puck could be infectious. This team is stale and it's time to shake poop up now and not wait to call him up in the second half.

Im already there. Why get my hopes up when nothing's going to change this season. It is what it is, this team won't win a thing with this lineup. Nothing anyone can do when the team is playing it's 3rd and 4th string goalies. I don't expect this team to make the playoffs and it sucks.

Gilbert is getting a hearing for his hit on the Ducks Ritchie. So with the way things have been going for the Kings, Gilbert will probably get 2 games.
