Even if we are 30 points out of a playoff spot by TDL, I see us being quiet and management gently coddling the fans and media that next year will be better.... - Codes1087
If you're stupid, you can't see through their BS, if you're not, you can clearly see only a miracle will turn this current team into what Benning is outwardly proclaiming....a team that can compete for a playoff position.
It's gonna take two to three years, from now, of this before Bennings picks start to filter into the lineup and contribute.

What he does 3 years from now is what he SHOULD have done 3 years ago. I have zero evidence to prove this but I still firmly believe FA has more of say than what JB and Trevor have lead on. Its clear as day that we are behind nearly every team in the league. Even the bottom teams (Carolina, CBJ, Arizona) have great depth in up and coming prospects, all which show signs of being competitive ONE DAY. ugh.
If we were going to sell of good players for picks and do a proper rebuild we would have done it already last year. There has been no indication that we are going to do anything but "try" and be competitive and get a playoff spot. - Codes1087
I am not the one saying Edler to Habs. I am on the side that Habs have only one thing I would want and it is not goig to happen.
If youre thumbing up a no deal, I'm going to trust that it wont happen because you're now a season ticket holder and have exclusive access to Ek's rumor chart. You're in the know - WhiteLie

A slow start for the Sedins, Eriksson, I'm not writing off the season yet.

Eriksson is historically a slow starter he will get rolling...but I think 85 pts is where we are going to be regardless. we have a fragile club for injuries. Unless JB can pull a rabbit out of his ass and find us a power LW who can score and a complimentary Dman who can round out our top 4 I'm pretty sure playoffs aren't on the map for this club.

before the season started looking at the brutal early schedule with 6 games in 9 nights etc... i was of the opinion and feeling that if the team was even through the first 9 or 10 games then that would be a win... i'll take the team's record as it is right now and be happy they didn't get wasted in these first 9 games and be totally behind the 8 ball like some teams...
i think it bodes well for the team that they got it done largely based on the second line of Granlund (surprise breakout?) Sutter and Hansen...

Hansen back with the twins tomorrow . - VANTEL
That's all good and fine but WD needs to keep Eriksson with someone for longer than 10 games to get him firing. Put him with Sutter and let them develop chemistry. Not move them around after 3 games. We need top 9 forwards and 3 lines that are set for a bit. All this line juggling is almost as bad as the AV era
