2017 NHL Draft Lottery

The Las Vegas franchise will be given the same odds in the 2017 NHL Draft Lottery as the team finishing with the third-fewest points during the 2016-17 regular season.

The Las Vegas franchise's First Round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft will be determined in accordance with the 2017 NHL Draft Lottery and, as a result, the Las Vegas franchise will be guaranteed no lower than the sixth overall selection.

The Las Vegas franchise then will select third in each subsequent round of the 2017 NHL Draft (subject to trades and other potential player transactions).

So the negative counts but not the positive? This argument is pointless. He may not be guns a blazin, but he's not shooting blanks either, just like the team. This is the team without Eichel, and to a lesser extent, Kane. It's a decent team.

This. It's perfectly reasonable to expect more than 1 fluky goal in 8 games from a #2 pick.

I don't disagree that getting Sam going is important. But I wouldn't say he's playing poorly either. He's just not getting on the scoresheet the way we'd like. Could be due to the line he's on. Could be that he's gripping the stick a bit too tight. Who knows.

We all know that he's capable of being a point producer, so I don't see what the panic is about.

And 8.5 is booked at 50 and a 9 is 100. Good chance it gets an 8.5 imo but you're over what you wanna be.

Was Reinhart good last season?

If you think so, his p/60 is very much the same so far this season as last (1.76 vs 1.89)

His linemates the last 4 games: Girgensons and Ennis

Team is better so far this season compared to last and he's holding steady with his, at least what I thought was, good rookie season.

About 3 months ago i posted that people on this board will dump all over Reinhart and Eichel when they hit their inevitable slumps - or whatever you want to call them. For Pete's sake, Reinhart is playing with Girgs and Ennis! Also, it's 8 games in, not 48 games in. Let's see where he's at in another couple of months.

I don't think he's playing poorly either, just not a difference maker.

His two points in the FLA game were both fluky. And that happens, and I won't hold it against him, they counted.
