They showed a stat near the end of the 4th where Wentz had 35 attempts within like 10 yards. And 5 beyond that. None beyond (I think?) 20+. It was pathetic play calling. He drops dimes to his receivers. It was just so easy to read for the defense. Absolutely no downfield threat. Hell, almost zero midfield threat even.

Yeah, it could be interesting to see what they do.

I'm hoping that one or both get going. If they're playing the way they did last year, the Flyers record looks a lot better

It would help, sure. It's not just the goaltending. But with the condition of the defense, they need better goaltending. We've seen this tandem play much better than they have so far this season.

Really, I'm not laying this all on goaltending, it's a perfect storm where each breakdown is causing big problems.

Yeah, you have to wonder if the goalies, watching the never ending defensive breakdowns in front of them, are just pressing too much. The whole team can really use the day off today and hopefully a good practice tomorrow

I know people point out Provorov's mistakes but I can take that from him. It's when out veteran guys make the same damn mistakes that frustrate me. Can't wait to get Del Zotto back and maybe get Provorvo and Manning back together.

he was so indignant after the game when the drops were brought up. Makes me want to punch him in the face. its not just the drop dude, you can't get open very often either. first round draft pick.

I've been a manning supporter.....just saying . seriously tho, the kids like Provorov and Ghost are allotted patience but Manning was just ripped on constantly which to me was a double standard. He was also a young dman learning to play at the NHL level. but I guess because he wasn't a draft pick or top prospect fans viewed him differently.
