please provide stats to this.
Canucks, in my opinion, are only at a disadvantage for distance travelled, back to backs (not entirely the most convincing stat for a disadvantage in my opinion). The Time difference disadvantage is a bit of a wash as it works both ways for Eastern teams visiting Vancouver and vice versa. - Codes1087
This is not an analytics category ... nice one lol
But we can take a poll and ask our HB posters if they believe Canucks are favored or have natural rivalries in the traditional manner of other markets mentioned. As a long time fan I have observed like you we have had rivalries with teams competing for Cup contention Hawks, Bruins etc they come and go and fade.
Who are Canucks strongest rival now...? That being the other market also views them in an equal similar fashion.
Favored was not about their individual success but the overal NHL agenda for increasing markets and interest. Certain markets get more attention as they are more key for the overall NHL interests. It's not a big point but it goes to how certain markets get more favorable treatment in dealings with the NHL.
It's not a conspiracy just human nature and business. As simple as in a Rangers v Canucks Cup final it benefits the NHL exposure on media and talk shows and reaching beyond local markets if the Rangers win the Cup. But that said there is no conspiracy to rig it against the Canucks. More that they won't get any favoritism in descisions etc.
You can disagree of course if you want because this is not a stats analysis that is black and white. |

Sadly, there are no cliffs in Las Vegas. Also, Pastor Lemming hasn't given the green light yet. I'm on Subban Shack lookout still - CanuckDon
I heard the Grand Canyon isn't too far and Hoover dam is a quick drive
But what do I know I am still stuck on the strip begging for change as I bet it all on the Canucks to win |

Why give Bo more offensive zone starts if his line mates can't put the puck in the net. When it come to Bo don't change a thing. - A_SteamingLombardi
Exactly!
He's developing perfectly. He's trying too hard but good on him to take that on. He wants to be an impact player and I say good on him for wanting it. That's a leader in the making. Just hope the canucks don't (frank) it up. |

Brett Connolly just popped one, man the Capitals make other teams chase the game a lot....speed and skill are not in short supply! I admire what George McPhee built there. |

So now that the Canucks lost again so the "they suck" slant can be sustained; is theie any optimism for better games ahead...?
Or is the schudule, sytems play, state if plyers game And general impression of lacking in all areas mean we have no chance?
.
Is this a different season in that many teams that were hopeless have improved?
Maybe there aren't any easy games and tougher games against the elite teams becuase they need the wins even more now than they are harder to come bye.
Is the state of the team that operation no hope is thriving in Canuck nation...? |

I feel like this is being read from the narrator to the old batman show with adam west when they end the show on a cliffhanger. |

It's a trying time for the Dynamic Duo (Sedins), the Defenseman has them all tied up in knots.
Can they break out of their predicament and score the win? Tune in next time
