We were joking. Just talking about the pace. 4 goals in 8 games is on pace for 41 goals in 82 games. We know that won't happen, but still fun to talk about. i think he will definitelly get 20g 50pts this year though. prob a 4-5m contract for 8 years. I hope they don't bridge him and need to pay him big in 2 more years.

I could see Horvat scoring 41 of Canucks 70 goals this year

You misunderstood and have over reacted grabbing some words here and there and missing the point.

As a club and by location this club isn't important to other NHL markets it has no natural rivalries like Rangers v Islanders or battle of Alberta or CALI 3 or Leafs/Habs etc etc it doesn't matter the level of competition or where the team is at to have a natural rivalry.

It's not like hey the Nucks are in town we need to go and boo them as a rivalry. Even as a good team they get a moderate response.

I never said or advocated the NHL hates the Canucks just not favored and will not get any breaks.

Does this club pull in revenue.... absolutely. Will it continue to do so ...for the most part but that makes them acceptable not favored or sought after which is the nuance of the matter.

Talking in extremes is over the top and basically not one I believe in.

lol this seems to happen more often than not. You seem to make excuses for why the Canucks always lose. Refs, bettman, league, rigged this, rigged that, injuries, execution, etc etc. I counter your claims with facts and stats and suddenly my interpretation of your comments are taken out of context.

so you are basically basing rivalries on the proximity or distance between franchises? Or if they are in the same state or province? While I agree those are rivalries, but I would base those on "natural" rivalries. Edmonton and Calgary haven't exactly been an overhyped Alberta rivaly in over a decade. NYR and NYI, when was the last time you remember a distinct or memorable game between them? Toronto and Montreal.. Rivalry? Or even Ottawa and Toronto? C'mon man.

If we lose it is because we suck. When the Leafs lose it is "all part of the plan". Didn't you get the memo?

The NHL is secretely conspiring to ensure that the Canucks not only finish last, but somehow lose the lottery and get 3rd overall.

Per an inside source's friend, of a friend, of a friend, who served Bettman a hotdog once.

They hung in , and had some moments but no puck luck. I wonder how having Stetcher play on the big club will determine what players will be exposed come June when the Vegas team gets to pick a player. Biega, Sbisa need to play more NHL games from what I understand (not sure of number). It really doesn't matter though this team is years away from competing for Pacific titles and Vegas will eye Gaunce, Grunland or Hutton.
- Leo_Union

Barring injury Sbisa will get exposed but losing players impacts development especially for a weaker team

You are mixing me up with another poster... never have I blamed losses on Bettman, riggging etc... if you need that label look elsewhere

If you have attended any games at those rinks you would understand better about natural rivalries ... e.g. At every game no matter who the Isles are playing they will chant " Rangers Suck" so location and club history have developed several natural rivalries among many NHL clubs

I wouldn't even consider it a "hate" for the west. 7PM starts PT are not going to reach the East Coast. Eastern Fans and Media only see what is on any sports highlight package the following day.

please see my rant above.
- Codes1087

Your rant is misplaced .... I said rigging in a joking way was not possible as well players get reputations before you posted your rant so I don't get why you want to got on as if I am against your view cause I am not. The only additional point which you misunderstand is that the Canucks are not favored in general or have natural rivarlies that could generate interest at some level over the lean years...

Yeah but I think 30 is a stretch, I want to see him make his line mates better.

Why give Bo more offensive zone starts if his line mates can't put the puck in the net. When it come to Bo don't change a thing.

Sadly, there are no cliffs in Las Vegas. Also, Pastor Lemming hasn't given the green light yet. I'm on Subban Shack lookout still

please provide stats to this.

Canucks, in my opinion, are only at a disadvantage for distance travelled, back to backs (not entirely the most convincing stat for a disadvantage in my opinion). The Time difference disadvantage is a bit of a wash as it works both ways for Eastern teams visiting Vancouver and vice versa.
