Bennings rationale also sent Stecher down over Larssen . Who is really the better of the two?
- VANTEL

It seems funny that the rationale sent Stecher to Utica but doesn't send JV?

If we can have players develop in the ahl while we aren't expected to win, regardless of the company mantra, it seems crazy not to have them in Utica.

I don't mind taking a chance on a waiver wire players. Surprised Etem wasn't claimed. I wonder if Etem burned the bridge when he left?

I think it's the shock of realizing the oil might be finally turning that corner and we're laying on the curb begging for scraps.

I still not a fan of the 6 D-men mix we have regardless of how they played in the game last night. I don't see the long term potential in this group. I like Hutton but he's not going to be a difference maker but will be a solid addition to a competitive team. Grabs will be interesting to watch. Tanev, meh. Prospects we'll have to wait and see. That's it right? Not a lot to get excited about.

I think the bottom pairing is bad. Stecher belongs.

When you have two or three in your top 6 if you include JV that haven't scored in 8 games , that needs to be fixed.

I would sit Sven and let him know it is unacceptable . You can't sit Louie or the media and Taj would be screaming for JBs head.

I hope this years leash is very short.

- VANTEL

Why would you sit a guy if he's getting chances but is snake bit on cashing in.... what's the lesson there...? It's not like he's not trying or doing dumb things out there to hurt the team. Plus who would replace him...? Just makes no sense ....

How's everything guys, what a great morning, woke up with the Mrs beside me, could smell the sea air coming through the open windows, green grass that needs cutting.

Great day today, so how's everything, team still living up to expectations, still all lovey dovey in here?

Other teams waiver scraps is not a recipe for success plus the guy is a pilon. Great idea if you're looking for a new scapegoat, though.

I'm trying to think of who for a forward is kind of on the trade block. Its probably too early in the season that most teams won't make the johansen for jones type deals. Lots of teams looking for D but either don't have enough cap space or don't want to give up the prospects.

"kind of" being the operative word. Snag him before he hits the market with a quick deal. Like the Gudbranson deal.

No on lulu island looking at the smoke hazing rising from the Etem suggestion.... plus why don't we just send everyone not waivable to Utica.... that will make a huge difference for this club.... they can find ways on how not to score there too

I could see Tanev Hansen for Trouba.

I would not be surprised to see Jake traded also but I seen some parts of his game last night that I really like.

I think once he gets his head screwed on he is going to be good

I understand if that's all you got but the guys we have on bottom pair do Dyck all.

Last night when Lucic challenged Sbisa LS just skated away. Larssen got pushed out of the way like a little boy.

If you are going to be bad at least hit and check

- VANTEL

Sbisa gave us our one PP over that.... if Larson scored on that set up different game or result

That is why I say send JV to Utica and play him big minutes and in every role.

JV did look better last night, the team looked better, closer to how they looked for the first few games- except we aren't scoring.

What? Trade Tanev to make room for Mcilrath?

It seems to me we've seen this ideology before.

I didn't want to see Sbisa get pummeled last night.

Gaunce says he felt good after morning skate & is hopeful to play. Zalewski also confirms he'll make his season debut up front.

Coach Desjardins says Megna will be out approx. 2 weeks while Gaunce will be evaluated after AM skate. Biega is option to play forward or D.

Nor did I , but part of the problem is this team gets bullied. Keeping the same players around won't change that
