The entire team sucked last night.
No piddling shuffling around of Bottom 6 players could fix last night.
They flat out sucked. - johndewar
Yup, had they played like this against a top team with a quality goalie, they would have got blown out.
But this is just, sadly, typical Flyers. First, they fail to show up against a mediocre non rival, but watch, they will come out looking great on their way to beating the Pens in their next tilt.
All teams have bad games, but this has been a pattern for too long with this team and it needs to stop |

Switch out Weise for Gordon and move Lyubimov to center and I'm cool with it |

Medvedev and Gus play on the same KHL team now.
I think that was the worst regular season loss since the 9-8 game five years ago.
What did Schultz do to lose favor with Hak? They were best buds all last season. |

You know your team sucked when you let both Brad Richardson and Ryan White score in the same game. |

Pressure from above to keep the 5 million dollar man in the lineup? Must be something because AMac looked a skating turd last night. Schultz won't generate any offense but at least he can adequately defend in his own zone and work the PK |

Just send MacDonald back to the Phantoms and be done with it.
Holmgren gave a 6 year 30 million dollar contract to a minor leaguer. Can't make it up. In the future a rule of thumb should be coaching/front office positions should not go to guys who have been punched in the head 1000 times. - PLindbergh31
Haha. Makes sense. Hexy only got punched about 40 if say. |

No way MacDonald gets signed if the assistant GM/GM in waiting was dead against it. |

I'd like to have Morin or Sanheim up but yeah that just adds to the quandary of who sits in the Cote Suite.
Here's the big issue how do we get cap compliant other than sending AMac back to LV? I know Hexy has said he don't want to do that again but really with how he's played it could be warranted.
I don't think adding MDZ really does much but shift a few chairs around.
And I'd love to give Laughts a chance but we also need to see if Lyubimov is worth keeping around. I haven't been able to get a great read on him yet. Probably due to who he's stuck with.

He may have not been in love with the deal but had too much respect for Homer to fight that hard against it. |

I'd love to know how he got so overvalued by the org. Seems like a panic move. Doesn't seem as though hextall does things this way so not sure about the extent of his input. |

Sanheim can use a full year in LHV, no need to rush him and roll out a D group with 3 rookies. Here is my guess at how the D will look by seasons end:
MDZ-Ghost
Provorov-Gudas
Morin-Streit
Manning
I think Schultz gets traded and AMac gets waived. |

The way I look at it and you can take last night away because my feels haven't changed. I don't think Provorov can have a worse game than he did in Chicago but you don't take him out because if the kid is going to be here, he has gotta play through the mistakes. Same with Ghost in his second season. Now on the other hand with vets, you can't ignore who is playing the worst. Streit collects points. He puts us on the board. He is leading our team in scoring (2 goals, 4 assists), he was never coming out. Gudas could come out if he were actually playing bad. So it comes down to Schultz and Mac. With Schultz, the only time I notice him is when it looks like a solid scoring chance is going to happen for the team but I realize it's number 55 and the play is blown dead due to a weak attempt at offense. Mac has got to come out. - SuperSchennBros
I agree, have to let the young players, play through the growing pains. Veterans are a different story. No excuse for the game MacDonald had last night, and his play has been trending backwards since the start of the season. Time for him to sit. |

AMac really is probably our only chance at getting cap compliant when the IR's end.
For all the talk of being out of cap hell we sure had to use LTIR pretty early.

In all honesty, I just think it was Hexy being respectful. He didn't want to step on Homers toes. He has shown that he's a patient man, and I think he figured that his time would come

In all honesty, that's not how an NHL front office works. A good executive doesn't want yes men, and those who won't express their opinion, due to not wanting to be disrespectful. If Hextall was that way, he wouldn't be the GM today. I think it's a false narrative to believe that Hextall wasn't in favor of the deal. |
