Provy does have that feel when he has his A game. He gets the puck and the game slows down like when Rico grabbed the puck.

Manning is more than a freaking traffic cone out there though.

- dragonoffrost

I agree.

I like Manning more than most. I do think he could be a vet type moving forward once Streit and Schultz are moved or gone.

I know this is going to be bad to say becaue of the suspensions but with teams targeting Konecny I am glad Gudas is back to target some guys. I hate the suspension stuff but it is nice having our own missile to do some damage and provide some intimidation.

And I'll be the dumb dumb to say it.......this team needs a fight.

I think Konecny's style of play leans itself towards getting hit like that. I don't really see targeting, but there is no question he has taken a few bigguns

Yeah. He doesn't shy away from it but I do think it is the game plan to try and hit him a lot.

I am putting odds on Saturday or Sunday for the first fight. Saturday is possible, Sunday is more probable after the end of the last Carolina game.

Streit got almost six minutes more at ES than Schultz, which seems to indicate the coach still has a lot of faith in him.
- Feanor

Being down a goal in the 3rd period is a part of that.

I'd say he might be the only flyers player who every season since he was what 18 ? Has actually gotten better. Every year he makes small incremental improvements. I've argued since prior to the season he deserves a lineup spot over our aging vets. I'm not saying he's a future number 1 but having someone who actively works on his game is a lot more enticing than people whose game continues to decline.

A player who can play well with a cheap cap hit is a valuable player in a cap environment.

Has anyone else ever heard of putting sunscreen (with mederma) on a cut to lessen a scar mark?

It wasnt an easy one for MacDonald to stop, but as Mason has said and pretty much any goalie would say, if you screen him you need to block the shot. I think his angle was a little off in the first place and if he is in the right position he both doesnt screen Mase and probably has the shot hit him
- YuenglingJagr

If you look at the original trajectory, I think the shot was initially towards the far post side, which I think is why Mason shaded towards that side. Once it deflected he clearly lost sight of it.

Ghost looks more scared to make a mistake than in creating a play. Provorov looks like he's settled in to the NHL a bit more. Voracek and Konecny seem to be carrying the play/pressure at ES. The Bellemare line has showed some glimpses as well. Schenn is still getting his bearings. Simmonds was outworked and outmuscled all game long mostly by Emelin. Giroux is playing very conservatively and on the perimeter. Konecny set up Couturier with some nice passes in transit that he could do nothing with unfortunately. It's starting to look like Couturier can't hang with the skill level of 11 & 93.

Try making a larger cut near the first cut as to lessen the appearance of the first scar mark
