As bad as Gordon has been on faceoffs, he leads the team in FO%.
Gordon - 51.06%
Giroux - 48.84%
Coots - 46.24%
Bellemare - 46.03%
VDV is over 60% but I think he has only taken like 4. - MikesPillBottle
Ducks Coyotes and Hurricanes are all top 5 in faceoff %
It will regress to the mean |

I'm thinking the league average of faceoffs will be somewhere around 50%. |

Yes, generally when a goaltender sees a puck they have a very good chance at making a save. - Streit2ThePoint
Don't you sass me
There are plenty of deflections that goalies see and have no shot against (example, the other two non-EN goals in the game) |

The Flyers need to get better play at ES from a number of players. I thought last night, the Giroux line had a poor game. Especially Simmonds and Schenn. Giroux needs to pick up his offensive game at ES. I don't think Couturier had a great game either. Voracek and Konecny are carrying this team at ES in terms of pressure and creating. Weber sure looked like he's in decline last night. - MJL
As much as I don't like tinkering with lines until about 10 games have passed, I think it might be a good time to move TK up and drop Schenn down to 2nd line. I just think Giroux needs a player who think more like he does to be fully optimized and I think TK is the guy.
TK- G - Simmonds
Schenn - Coots - Jake
AT least try it for the first period and see how it plays out

I don't know, that TK-Coots-Jake line has been our best line. Not sure I'd want to break it up. But Schenn still looks rusty. |

The shot that broke Schwinn's stick and redirected into traffic? How was he supposed to save it unless he was lucky? Almost impossible to track that one. - bmeltzer
The argument is that Mac was originally defending Radulov, who continued to skate to the other side of the slot, and ended up being the lone player in front of Mason. The shot was deflected as you said, but it was pretty freaking slow.. Im fairly confident that Mason's foot speed would have prevented that one... |

The deflection took a lot off of it, and it was along the ice. He couldn't track it because he was screened. In my opinion, with a clear look, he makes that save. Not in any way blaming Mason on the goal. |

I guess I'm the weirdo.
I just saw it as, "Wha-what-what!?!? Giroux out with Konecny and Voracek!?!?" (you turn to your wife) "You are now carrying my child." |

Even with the puck deflecting off of Schenn's stick, I believe Mason makes that save had AMAC not been standing almost on top of him basically screening him.
I don't want any of the young dmen out of the lineup including Manning. My choice would be AMAC or Streit |

My parents tried to give me "the talk." Fortunately, my best friend who is 3 years older did it first when I was like 6-7. |

While I don't count Manning as needing to stay in the lineup to to his age/development curve, I think his play has spoken for itself. |
