Krejci had a few misplays, but he is a good 2nd line center. I think the problem is his contract. If he was making 5-5.5 million, no one would constantly complain about him. It's our expectations of him. And really he has had these mashup lines for the past few years. Keep Backes and Spooner with him and they'll rack up the points. Or put Belesky on that line with Spooner playing 3c with a couple of kids.

Honestly Ty, is there anything you've seen that warrants having Hayes out there. I know Heinen didn't do much the first few games, but at least try him out in a consistent role before scratching him. I'd rather Heinen over Hayes.

Seem to agree, but as "blah" as Morrow has been, C. Miller has been boarder line awful.

Based on what? You don't like Morrow and you like Miller, I get it. The point is that Morrow has played in two games and looked pretty good in one and I'm no sure about the second as I was at an ahl game on Saturday.

But Miller has played in all the games thus far and has seemed lost and confused out there.

Personally I saw more out of Morrow in that one game than Miller in three. I would rather we play all these kids and let the cards fall where they may this season, play them all and bench the vets.

Maybe you are right and C. Miller has talent, but so far it has not been the case this season. Don't understand how we scapegoat one guy and give another a pass. Morrows advance stats are best on the team in two games, but I know we don't like to look at those either.

Same thing with the Spooner haters and exuses for Krejci (which I tend to agree with because of the surgery.). But can the excuse also be used that you are asking a lifetime center to convert to wing AND play with a slumping Krejci as an excuse for Spooners lack of play?

I think we all can agree that Miller is more talented. And that is why we are playing him to go through the growing pains so he can reach his potential.

We can't complain after a few games about some rookie/sophomore players. If we do, then we are no better than Claude benching them. Problem is right now that Carlo, Miller, and Morrow are all rooks, we need McQuaid or K. Miller as a safety net.

I think we are all tired of the Morrow project though. He hasn't played terribly, but we need to just see what he has in him and part ways next season if we are not satisfied. Especially if C. Miller, Carlo, and O'Gara are knocking at the door. With Lauzon, Zboril, and McAvoy the following year as well.
