Also, I'm loving how the Blue Jays couldn't even win in what ended up being a bullpen start from Cleveland. And it also reminds me how much I love hockey players. Get a little blood on the ball, you don't use your pinkie as much as your other fingers to grip the ball. - jmatchett383
well in defense to MLB you can't allow players to come in contact with other players blood. the NHL requires players to be repaired and clean uniforms that had blood on them. |

Just some things I noticed in the last two games.
- The Flyers seems to be playing faster. They look like a quicker team and maybe this is due to having Hackstol's system down.
- 2nd line is a threat to score almost every shift.
- Read has played two solid games.
- right now I would prefer Manning over Schultz when Gudas is back. Manning as looked solid in his play so far.
- Boyd Gordon through two games has looked better than anticipated.
-Still hate Vandevelde and would prefer Lyubinov in over him. - J35Bacher

Surgical glue that finger shut, wipe the ball off, and get back on the mound. |

He could use the cap space for a trade as well. Last year, Pittsburgh felt they needed more scoring on the wing, so they went big and grabbed Kessel. Obviously Kessel was a unique situation, but that's the kind of trade you can use to upgrade soft spots in your lineup. - jmatchett383
I think that is what they have to do if they wanted to upgrade the 3rd line center role. Maybe not a top tier guy but maybe young vet with potential growth.
Could look for a guy that a team might not be able to protect in the upcoming expansion draft. Maybe they make a deal to avoid losing for nothing

You have a serious hard-on for Burmistrov that I just don't get. Dude has a career-high of 28 points and already bolted to the KHL once.
I'd like Bonino, but after his run last year, his price tag will be more in line with 2nd liners. - jmatchett383
Bonino has wheels but he looked out of his depth on the PP unit last night. Errantly throwing the puck away at least twice. He's like the Coburn of forwards. Great size and speed but no brain. |

I certainly don't love it. Sour grapes from 93 maybe? haha
Ugh, hate this series so far. It's been like watching paint dry. Jays haven't been able to get a thing going at all. I hope the Cubs or LA beat them in the WS, but they've dominated Boston and Toronto who are normally very good hitting clubs. |

Actually, it's this ridiculous, maniacal love that the team gets from all across Canada. Their fans are bordering on pre-2004 Red Sox fan annoying. Nothing against the team, but I am enjoying their fans being disappointed, much the same way I loved seeing Red Sox fans cry in 1999 and 2003. |

Andrew macdonald on the first pairing...#don'tholdyourbreath - JoeRussomanno
Do the facts matter to you Joe?
MacDonald ranks 4th on the team among defenseman in TOI/G at 19:30, at ES he ranks 3rd, and on the PK, he ranks 3rd. |

If Hak was going to put him in, this is how I figured he would do it. Oh well, Cousins isn't the guy I was hoping would sit, but I'm still glad to see Lyubimov in. I think he's a better fit than Cousins for a 4th line role with Gordon and VDV.

I hate the Sox more than I hate any other MLB team. I love that the Jays have the fan base back, but I'm a little worried that they are gonna let Edwin walk and not spend all this newfound money on the product on the field. |

DGAF about the Sox, if there is one team in baseball I truly hate, it's the Atlanta Braves. To paraphrase The Rock: they can take their little tomahawks, shine em up nicely, and stick em straight up their candy asses!!
However, when it comes to the hate I have for the Rangers, the Braves aren't even on the chart. It's like comparing a candle to the sun. (frank) you Tomas Sandstrom, and (frank) the NY Rangers, each and every (frank)ing one of them and their (frank)ing fans too!

Yeah.. I hate the rangers off the charts as well. I also hate a lot of teams that aren't on the traditional list. The Habs, Leafs Bruins and Penguins are right up there because I am surrounded by these idiotic fans. |

I know it's been said, or anticipated, that the 17-18 offseason is when Hexy would get more room and cap to play with, but imo with the lack of ufa talent I see Hexy being conservative again. With some youth knocking on the door maybe it would be best to hope for more internal growth for the 17-18 season and then evaluate exact needs for the following season, then explore a reasonable 3C - arichardson22
They really aren't going to have as much room as people think unless they let MDZ walk or trade one of the top 6 forwards. |
