In my opinion, Schenn is a winger and needs to be kept there. - MJL

Maybe some 3rd line centers for next season.
UFA's
Patrik Berglund 28
Nick Bonino 28
Martin Hanzel 29
Brooks Laich 33?
Not a ton of interest other than maybe Berglund.
Maybe they can get a RFA that is out of favor.
Burmistrov in WPG?
Could be hard to find a 3rd line center in UFA and might have to either wait or make a trade for one. - J35Bacher

You have a serious hard-on for Burmistrov that I just don't get. Dude has a career-high of 28 points and already bolted to the KHL once.
I'd like Bonino, but after his run last year, his price tag will be more in line with 2nd liners. |

Yup, apparently Roszival was skating as a winger on the 4th line at practice yesterday.

I think he could use a change of scenery.
I agree on Bonino but as you see there are not many nice options in UFA.
Might have to aquire one or maybe you ride with Cousins and try to upgrade the wings than. |

The dude had a change of scenery...in a new country...and he didn't like it, so he came back, and his production didn't really change much. If he was a UFA, then fine, but I wouldn't give anything of much value in a trade/rfa OS. If we could do a Coburn-type of deal, then okay. |

I know it's been said, or anticipated, that the 17-18 offseason is when Hexy would get more room and cap to play with, but imo with the lack of ufa talent I see Hexy being conservative again. With some youth knocking on the door maybe it would be best to hope for more internal growth for the 17-18 season and then evaluate exact needs for the following season, then explore a reasonable 3C |

He could use the cap space for a trade as well. Last year, Pittsburgh felt they needed more scoring on the wing, so they went big and grabbed Kessel. Obviously Kessel was a unique situation, but that's the kind of trade you can use to upgrade soft spots in your lineup. |

You see, this is nonsense. You're just taking this too far. No way we'd include AMac. |

Laughton's the same. Since it costs us no assets besides cap space to retain him, I'm okay with it. If we had Burmistrov currently, I'd say the same (except for the fact that Laughton has not yet abandoned his team to play in another country). However, if we do trade Laughton, I'm not expecting a great return at this point. |
