WD does leave us with head scratchers and there is lot's to criticize. Though he did stick with Baer to work out and somehow has turned Granlund's game up. But yeah he seems mired with a grinding style and leaves little to creating offense.

You think with the better D in place by JB we wil get the zone exits they wanted from last years disaster full of injuries etc

- Nuck4U

no not the lineup....a plan for zone exits period

So far this year Sutter has generated more chances than Bo and so has Granlund.
Playing with two vets might help Bo but I have to admit I wonder about WD decisions .

This is something that can sink his career. This had better produce wins , because if it doesn't his job is on the line.

The truth though in training camp Bo was the fourth best center.

- VANTEL

Hey Vantel nice points what do you think about this posting earlier below...?

Well have brought this up in the last three threads. Especially the fact he's had since end of preseason Horvat playing a 4th line cheking role with Burr. But he had Granlund with Sutter. WD is more obsessed about who he has as the fourth line center then generating scoring lines.

Seems WD doesn't think Sutter is burly enough to take on big centers in a checking role. He sees him as a shooter and has been consistently scoring. So he gets PP1 minutes too. Horvatt isn't pressed for offense and is left to play like in his rookie year.

With Rodin out WD is like shying away from all skill lines. Well except for twins but he thinks with LE they are two way enough anyway.

The "second" line with Baertchi will have a lot of pressure on it now. Granlund and JV haven't proven their scoring and Baer just is getting started. So a Sutter or Horvat with some proven NHL scoring should be a better center, right?

The Sutter line with Hanson and Gaunce just looks like more of a grinding line like Horvatt with Burr & DD. There is potential for popping a goal or having a counter but they won't be generating any offensive skill.

Conclusion, seems like WD wants to slow the game down and play a grinding defensive first style to limit goals and hope that one or two goals are enough to win a game.

Im saying use some perspective son....you clearly incapable of rational thought. You like to whine and moan, I get it, you live in Haida Gwaii and can't get any good wussy other than your mom but dont be angry, the Canucks will be good again.....with JB at th ehelm.....

(frank) some of you guys are killing me...in a laughing way...

So Gillis the mighty brought in Torts and the team finished with the worst points record in Canucks history. But hey it's so much better to blame JB for that... . Then along comes Benning and WTF 101 points the very next year...what a douce bag should have been 115, the (frank)ing bum. Then the next year they finish 3rd worst but let's blame JB for 3 years cause that's so much better. The guy has been here 2(frank)ing years...
That goes for Willie also

- Makita

Yup

More upset people cause the reality is we are in transition rebuild now and not the Cup contenders we once were ... but you know that capital was spent... with no reserves inthe sytsem to renew and update.... JB has had to do that... plus when you get major injuries any team will struggle especially a rebuilding retooling one ....

Regardless of how Bo's training camp was, doesn't it still seem silly to split him up from Sven? He basically saved the guys career and things could go downhill again if their chemistry is taken away.
- NorthNuck

Come on now...Bae was phenominal in Utica without Bo. I don't think there is any evidence that Bo "saved" Baertchi. Sven is a more talented hockey player in my opinion but Bo is just a beast.

GG thinks wideman is capable of shutting down Connor ....WD thinks DD and burrows can shutdown kopi et al ...they way GG tried to even his D pairings and WD his forward lines you'd think they worked together before or something ...

When he says granlund isn't a 4th line centre does he realize neither is Bo :duh

Exactly, play Gaunce with Burrows and Dorsett

I can't imagine what's going to happen when we lose tomorrow night 5-2.
- dshiddy

I hope they annihilate Calgary and Bo scores a hat trick, Burrows with seven assists, and Dorsett with the Gordie Howe hat trick.

Everyone will be saying that it was their idea

How much longer do we need to be subjected to Linden, Benning & Desjardins. What a joke. The worst asset management I have ever seen. Gave players away for nothing, overpaid to acquire players. Have drafted OK I assume, way to early to tell. Like the Stecher signing although I think he was signing here whoever

I gave up my season tickets after almost 30 years, even with incredible enticements by the Canucks marketing department made to retain them.

We have some good pieces coming but they are years away from making a significant NHL contribution. What a mess.

My scalper buddy has already sent me these options.

All below games at $40ea. ticket

SUN, 16 OCT 2016HURRICANES CANUCKS 7:00 PM
TUE, 18 OCT 2016 BLUES CANUCKS 7:00 PM
THU, 20 OCT 2016 SABRES CANUCKS 7:00 PM
TUE, 25 OCT 2016 SENATORS CANUCKS 7:00 PM

Not paying 40 bucks to watch this team play. Bought NHL center ice instead.

- striker777

This is the point. Seats are as low as 40 dollars and you wont go buy a ticket.Vancouver is a very fickle fan base.

As Don Taylor pointed out yesterday this is not NHL 17. This is real life with real jobs and real money.

Vancouver fans will throw in their support as long as it doesn't cost money to support their down times. For all you saying for Aquillini to tank and play to empty arenas are dreaming big time.

WD has a family to support and his job is to win. He doesnt give a rats ass if Bo was drafted 9 th. Bo was the most unproductive center in training camp. He can climb the ladder when he plays . Until then he needs to prove himself.

Agree :

BUT..... you think Bo instead of Guance should take on the 4th line role...? If Sutter outplayed Bo then put Granlund with hm and leave Bo to click again with Baer wouldn't that be more potential to score and win...?

That was a very sweet post vantel, did you write that from your shrink's couch?

I don't care about Willie's pod, I care about the future of this hockey team. Being mediocre this year does nothing for the team's future, and if Benning and Aquaman are doing their jobs, they will put the best worst possible team on the ice and lose some (frank)ing games so we get a first line center in the draft.

Mind blowing really.....teams should not be taking the path of the Leafs or Oilers...how well has that worked out for both teams over the past 10 years? I would say not very well...its not just simply tank then grab the best player then all of a sudden you get better...the sooner these teams actually come to that conclusion the better

This is my view only .

Gaunce had a very good training camp. Bo was less as impressive.

Bo needs to change that. He has 82 games to turn it around. Go win your job back.

Canucks don't have the talent this year to be anything better than middle road. Next year Burrows out Boeser in . Sbisa out Juolevi in. It takes time .

No one is offering us top tier forwards for Sbisa so we have to give it time to develop our prospects.

Add the cost of living in Greater Vancouver, the traffic and parking nightmares ....
Add that I have a family of 4....
Add my 60" Screen at home and I have little reason to go.

So for 1/4 the cost, I could get some good Chinese Food for 4, stay warm and happy and inside and ..........well......... thats it.

I will buy an online 50/50 though.

Dude it's lotto draws guarantees you nothing so destroying a team for the hope of one player is not the way to build a winning team. The 1C can be found wherever they finish as long as they keep building to win and be competitive.... gambling it all for a savior is how you become a lossing franchise not a winning one
