Right now I would start the season like this:
Del Zotto - Gudas
Provorov - Streit
MacDonld/Schultz/Manning - Gostisbehere
I know he is the new toy but Provorov is going to play top 4 minutes. And Gudas and Del Zotto, if healthy, will be a defacto top pair to start - J35Bacher
to be clear, you want to give our best playmaking defenseman one of the lowest ice times at ES? |

something something fresh for playoffs - YuenglingJagr
Are Vandevelde and Read making this roster. The more I look at it and the way they have performed I can't gather how the hell they stay. |

Del Zotto out 4-5 weeks. Good to see injuries mounting when the games don't even count. Absurd. |

Less than ideal, for sure.
Have we discussed who takes his spot? I assuming Provorov makes the team regardless of whether this injury happened (though, I could be wrong). |

I think he will be sent down on Monday, then brought back up the next day after he clears waivers and MDZ goes on LTIR. |

That's probably the way it gets handled but the IR list could be ugly on Tuesday. |

I don't think they need to LTIR anyone.
Unless capfriendly is off, I can waive Read and Lyubinov and have 200k in cap space.
What am I missing? Looking for help.
EDIT: Charildi saying Del Zotto to LTIR |

What is MDZ injury? hope not his wrist. These injuries to him are becoming problematic that he can't stay healthy. |

Knee. Judging by the prognosis, probably a torn meniscus. |

Yes. Depending on situation. Of course he will see more time if team is down. Hell see time on PP. But he isn't going to see as much when protecting a lead.

One bit of optimism is that I think Hextall usually gives slightly exaggerated estimates so he doesn't have to deal with the beats asking him about "setbacks" if a 3 week injury turns into 4. For instance last year Couturier was meant to miss a month after a leg injury and missed less than three weeks. Gudas was supposed to be out for the whole preseason. |

Will they call up a D man now with both Manning and MDZ down? I would think Morin if so would be the call up? |

I dont love this idea because of how much Gudas shoots...I want Ghost to be the one shooting. I think Ghost has been playing the right side a bit too (I actually like him playing there) |
