That is just wrong. What you really mean is that people write comments based one misunderstood sentence and it spirals from there.
If my opinion changes when I learn something, that's a good thing. However, a lot of what people consider "flip flopping" just turns out to be that they originally thought I had some kind of hardline authoritarian stance on whatever subject they're crying about, usually the use of apostrophes.
As for thinking I'm smarter than people, I make fun of that idea all the time with grossly exaggerated claims people hilariously think are real. So maybe it's true afterall.
There's a smiley face for you so you know that I'm joking. And here's a couple of these ~~ so you know that that last sentence was pretty sarcastic!! - James_Tanner
Maybe you should explain yourself a bit better then. Dont see any other writer arguing as much in the comments.

Tanner's love for oilers is blinded and impossible. I agree maybe with Yakupov, but I still don't think he will tear it up. Tanner's blog was only on Oilers or Calgary...no other team. The fest of love for the oil continues. |

Sorry Irish but that is an opinion and not a fact. Should the moves he's made not pan out then that argument can be made. Until then lets give Chia's version of the Oilers an actual chance to hit the ice before we call it a failure. - Wildschwein
Given that he went to Harvard and has a Juris Doctor it's tough to call him an idiot. It doesn't mean that he makes great decisions, but he is certainly not lacking in intelligence. |

I consider a break out player as a player that puts up about 60 points
IMO Bo Horvat will break 60 points before Bennett - homiedclown
Wouldn't surprise me to see horvats ice time go down with a healthy sutter ...I imagine he will work on his defensive game a bit more too ...wouldn't surprise me to see his point totals stay the same or even drop a little
I rhink Bennetts ice time may go up ...not sure his linemates just yet but as long as he doesn't get bouma and vey he should improve his numbers
Doubt either gets 60 |

Yup, Horvat made the best of tough situation last season but he most likely wont get the same amount of ice time as last year. If he hits 50 points, I think most fans will be thrilled but I expect similar numbers as last year for him.
Bennett is an easy choice especially if ends up playing wing in the top 6, although from what I understand he is slotted in to play C ?
I could see Silvferberg possibly have a breakout year, he was so good in the playoffs 2 years ago and still think he has a bunch more to give.
Hertl is my pick for breakout player, too much skill on that roster and again looked great for them in the playoffs. |

Ok...less than competent. Historically he's made more bad moves than good, and yes that is fact. He's still early in his tenure and outside signing Lucic (and lets be honest, I could sign him if McDavid was on my team) he's not done allot to truly improve the Oil. You guys as fans deserve better but thats the card you were dealt with. Hey at least your barn is pretty!

Claims quality of competition doesn't matter. Then predicts draisaitl has a break out year because he will face a lower quality of competition.
Ok boss. You should put as much effort into your blogs as you do replying in the comments section and trying to tell people off for pointing out your an idiot. |

Nope. Even if I were I wouldn't have done it, too long a drive to go without catching a game. |

As I have checked and checked again, last season Gardiner and Rielly played virtually the same competition.
And you have no counter argument, so you 're going full semantics? Obviously two players I use an example cannot be random, but that isn't even what I said!! It's almost impossible - I think - to give a top 4 defenseman favorable ice time.
How would that even work? You can start him in the O zone a lot, I guess, but even then it has to be a huge discrepancy to make even a small difference.
It's also really annoying to be called a hypocrite for trying to offer up a nuanced, non-black and white answer. You literally cannot win around here. - James_Tanner
Both tougher competition and zone starts for rielly

I mean, zone starts is somewhat notable, but the scale on that chart puts them pretty close in terms of QoC and zone starts... |
