I always enjoyed TSN WJC coverage.. more exciting.

Yeah, agreed. Is it so hard to have someone out there commentating with a shred of individuality and personality

The worst part of this World Cup of hockey has by far been Sportsnet's presentation of the content. My god do we have some of the blandest sports broadcasters you can find. I'm sure if they keep repeating how important this tournament is, it'll actually feel important. Kind of like what they tried to do with the Winter classic, I hate our broadcasters

The hockey itself has been entertaining though

I don't mind Galley, but Romanuk... bleh. I miss Bowen, although he'd never cover something like this.

Hughson blows, same with his downer crew, but at least Healy is gone.

Hockey doesn't need a 3-broadcaster crew: it's too much; they all wanted their say and instead of hearing the game unfold, you had to listen to 3 guys fighting for air time.

I agree. And I don't know how stupid they think the average viewer is but the way they script and stage disagreements is pathetic and screams amateur hour.

With all the bright lights and PG arguments, it's content I would've enjoyed when I was 10.

This is more directed towards the sportsnet panel, but still

When I was 10 I had a little 13" tv. Hooked up to that was a Sega. If I was lucky, I could watch CBC as long as the long wire I had tied to the antenna was in the right spot.

Also, it was only 21 years since the Leafs won the cup.

Zaitsev 22 getting lots of ice time on pp and pk. Nothing remarkable to report yet but steady.

Leaf's might have found a Kaberle replacement on the PP. Never shoot, always pass.

Cool.. I'm starting to plan some ice fishing adventures this winter and I'm wondering if I could get Leafs games if I buy a FTA receiver. I'd be very happy

Could be that's the target audience though, the kids.

To me, the best, of my generation, is Bob Cole.

There was a seriousness to the game, he made everyone sound like Game 7 of the SCFs. Foster Hewitt school of broadcasting though, and nobody seems to have picked up the torch.

I have no clue about how well those FTA work and where you'd be able to pick up signals. Would be a pretty good experience though wouldn't it? Fishing, beer, Leafs.

Dude, breakfast on the BBQ has changed my life this stanky danky summer.

Bacon on a cookie sheet, then move it to the top rack; spuds in the basket at the same time. oven-proof frying pan (or skillet) on the grill to do the eggs.

Sometimes if I'm (frank)ing hungover I'll just bung the whole thing into one pan and keep flipping poop around until it's done.

That's awesome

Hopefully I create a new breakfast trend "splake and eggs"

I have one of those huge pans you can cook breakfast for 5 all at once.

I haven't turned my tv to watch it in I don't know how long. So I thought I better get my ass in gear for the Leafs this year instead of streaming on Youtube. Thought I'd look into picking individual channels a la carte. What a crock of poop that is. 15 for TSN, 15 for Sportsnet Ontario. (frank), better off wasting money on just a big bundle.

Also, how in the (frank) is "long distance" still a thing?
