I think that's the lineup I'd like to see out there opening night... I think Spooner and Backes would be interchangeable, but I'd like to see Spooner on the wing, I think that's where he fits best. Maybe swap in Randell some games... and maybe Heinen or Griffith crack the lineup at some point.

I hate seeing Hayes on the 3rd line, but whatchagunnado ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'd prefer if they'd signed Brett Connolly to that deal instead of Moore. Log jam at pivot right now. I guess that means we can deal from our strengths and perhaps bring in a little more help on the back end. We shall see what happens.

Yeah, I was pretty bummed that they let Connolly walk... I thought he would make a great bottom 6 player. He was put in a role that just didn't fit him on the top line with Bergeron and Marchand. But as a bottom 6 energy guy, I think he would have thrived. Such a waste of two 2nd round picks.
