How does this disprove my post? Maybe it's you who has a hard time reading.

It's a stupid point. And you are stupid.

I think Emelin will finish the year in Montreal in order for Bergevin to comply with expansion draft rules. If he refuses to accept to waive his NTC for Vegas, then Bergevin will HAVE to trade him no matter the return because there's no justifying protecting Emelin over Weber, Petry, Beaulieu/Pateryn. |

talent is there without question. i don't see him ever being a huge point producer but no reason he can't be a really solid top 4 guy. |

i think im in the minority who doesn't hate Emelin. yes overpaid by about $1 million but he's a fine bottom of the rotation 15-17 minute guy. he's an OK skater and a nice physical presence. definitely prefer him over Josh Gorges. - DoubleDown
People tend to forget that Emelin had overall a very decent year. He was consistent and flew under the radar, didn't opt to just chip the puck off of the glass and hope it clears the defensive zone. I thought he was one of the very few bright spots last season.
Overpaid, yes, I agree. But as someone mentioned, the Pateryn and Barberio duo could be great considering they both intend on proving themselves, so perhaps Emelin could be on his way out...
Will be interesting to see what happens next season... + that's not taking into consideration any trade possibilities that might occur at the blue line. If I'm Price, I'm confident in the defensemen in front of me.

I'd be ok with him getting 30 points next to Weber and being solid on D. |
