Thought Vesey is a LW. If he plays with Hayes and Miller he will play LW - mdw7413
Just let him play, hopefully no AV shenanigans |

A kid with a ton of expectations, but not given every chance to succeed? Doesn't sound like that was part of the sales pitch. - gravyface
Having on the 3rd line = a ton of expectations. Maybe in in the GTA. Hopefully Vesey can Crack the top 5 in Calder voting, after Nylander, Marner, Matthews etc. |

I'm guessing the same opportunity Hayes had. Kid will get a spot, but there is no guarantee he will keep it. |

There are around 200 defensemen in this league. There are actually other guys they could possibly target. |

You can't acquire Shattenkirk with dead weight |

1.65 million for 9 goal Grabner. We should have offered 8 goal Cizickas 3+ million. - tomburton99
Compared to Stephan who makes $6.5m a year and averages 17-18 goals a year? If Cizikas played on the top 6 he would have 15 goals too. |

I just never have understood where the extra H comes from, its not like his name isn't pronounced just like its spelled. |

I'm sorry you're talking bout 2 time 20 goal scorer Derek Stepan who's points per 60 is on par with Taylor Hall and Filip Forsberg? |

Men just look MUCH worse when they have that male pattern baldness & they insist on holding on to the hair till the bitter end. Just let it shine Derek, let it shine |

Stepan had 22 goals last year and had 18 in the 48 game season lockout season. You must be using that common core math again |

The Andrew Ladd and Johnny Boychuk contracts take them both to age 38. That should be good. |

So now that all the dust has settled what are some realistic expectations for Jimmy Vesey? I think he'll be a solid 45-55 point middle six forward, but as far as his rookie season goes, anything above 40 points would be a big success. |

Pretty much what I'm thinking.
If he gets 30-35, that will be cool. anything over 40 would be huge. |
