lmao

to be fair to soccer, hockey is probably the second worse for embellishment, they should crack down in both sports

Ya but the big difference is that there is legit contact in hockey so it doesn't come off as wimpy.

I just don't get why the players have to make it look like they got hit by a truck and roll around in excruciating pain for 2 minutes...when they were barely even touched...and then pop up and walk away only to keep playing.

It so (frank)ing over dramatic.

I find it kind of intriguing that Kadri had these issues, getting suspended by the team, by the league, getting called out for diving, et cetera, and apparently had all these regular meetings with Babchok in his office. And the Leafs committed to him in a pretty big way after all that. ShannaLouCock are huge on conduct and they evidently think they have developed that part of Kadri, which was clearly in question...I'm hoping this means Babcock has shown Kadri the way to the force, and he is going to destroy this year.

I think it's partly Babcock, Lou and Shanahan but mostly that a kid grew up....Kadri.

I really feel like he matured last year. I kinda expect a break out year for him as a legit #1.

I can see Kadri being secretly motivated to stay ahead of Matthews....not that it will happen.

Good 1C/2C competition. I likey!

You would also hope that if Matthews is the real deal, he makes guys like Kadri better by example and competition as you say. I likey, I likey a lot!

Some of it is pretty bad lol...

My favourite hockey one is where the goalie fell selling a call, but didn't get the call and the other team just scored because he had taken himself out of the play. I forget who that goalie was, I want to say Hasek, or Belfour, but something like that. But yeah either way (frank) diving. No player should dive, it should just be the way you play the game to not dive.

The A's franchise is ridiculous. Moneyball may work 1 year out of 20. It called luck, Lawrie lasted only a year there.

Gose was valuable on the bases, But you kinda have to get on one in order to utilize your speed.

So what I'm saying is, I thoroughly agree.

you realize the A's have had tons, tons, tons more success than the Jays in the last 15 years while spending tons, tons, tons less money right?
but i suppose we're only talking about the last 12 months, because it's more convenient.

If they switched divisions things would have been a lot different.

Look at Tampa. One of the better run teams and they still struggle to make the playoffs most years.

Martin is going to drift along lines he will be with the youngsters opening up space same as Leo. Then when teams get dumb Leo and Martin will be put on a line just to check everything including the puck bunnies

I remember the Jays beating the (frank) out of them (on route ) to win the world series. Bout it. How far have the As made it the last 15 yrs? and why is 15 yrs the magic comparison. Just curious.

Edit I had time to look it up.. they are garbage now. 4 yrs ago they were okay. bout it. Kinda looks like the Jays have been better

I looked it up, your (frank)ing high. literally 15 years ago they did okay then 4 yrs ago. last 12 years Jays owned em. anyone can grab stats and slant em how they want. 15 yrs what the (frank) do 8 yrs or 4 or 3 or 2 or 1. Is hilarious you pick 15 to suit your argument

I guess if that means tons and tons and tons

They've made the playoffs way more than the Jays but they haven't won an AL pennant since 1990 and they don't exactly play in the AL East. Impressive considering their payroll but Tampa has been a better moneyball team imo.

Jays were typically a bottom half payroll team until lately. Some years Oakland had a higher payroll.
