Can't wait. I expect a written apology from a lot of people on here. Maybe a blog in my honor?

I was just posing a question If that's where you would move them, then, that's where you would move them. No right or wrong. I myself can't really say with any factual information since it's been so long since I've been there, but from what I've seen and read, Willets might be the better option. Again, I don't know the area anymore, so don't beat me up too much for expressing an opinion.

Perhaps that's why I asked the question.

Not really. Or maybe.....

Dude, if they moved back there, yeah, that would be shocking, to say the least.

*Edit - Ok, you can have a blog in your honor, but only if Ishmael is kept well under wraps.

90%, probably more, of our population is (frank)ing braindead. The overwhelming majority of people probably gather their political "knowledge" based off memes on facebook with quotes written pictures of candidates that may or may not be something that they actually said.

Can't remember if it was our thread or the Rangers thread I posted this in the other day, but this is something that actually came across my news feed the other day.

Seriously. One of the dumbest. (frank)ing. things. I. have. ever. read.

My HS politics teacher had a banner on the wall quoting "An uninformed electorate, is a dictatorship of idiots". I think that pretty much sums up most western nations these days.
Outside of those seeking power for power's sake, nobody sane would even run in today's society. No matter what you do, half the electorate will be against you based on some nebulous idea they heard on Twitter. Any young blood politician with high ambitions of setting things straight, is either weeded out or compelled to quit long before he\she gets anywhere near the top.
In some ways I hope Trump wins. It will prove once and for all that democracy is flat out broken.

Not to get into a discussion about this, but i just dont understand what you meant by that last sentence? How would Trump winning equal democracy being broken?

Why? Close to home? Miss the old barn? Transportation options? I'm just curious. I do realize the nostalgia of it, but the place was a dump, as I understand it. Last time I was there in the early '90's, it seemed to be starting to go downhill.

I thought the Coli was great during the playoffs. No question the building was run down though and there was nothing else around the Coli. I would like to see the team in Queens if Brooklyn does not work out. Transportation options seem to be best in Queens.

They get weeded out because congress is such an 'old boys' network, it's not even funny. It's a scratch my back & I'll scratch yours system. If you don't play the game, you won't get anything done. And they play this game with their best interests (read as wallets) in mind, not their constituency. It's why I firmly believe, and have been saying for a long time, they need term limits for congress. Our tax dollars are paying for these jack-wagons to stall, negate and otherwise ignore issues. And it's hard to vote them out because, as you said, most of the populace gets their political info from social media. It's ludicrous.

Watching the playoffs 2 years ago, I thought the roof was actually going to collapse. And I was watching it on tv. It definitely was a great atmosphere.

Being at the Turgeon and Dale Hunter clinching game was wild. Coli had some great playoff memories.

Gorillas are kind of hard to come by this far north. Maybe if I luck out and bag a sasquatch we'll have a rough idea of the flavor.

im just curious. If you were owner of Islanders why would you ever consider going back to NVMC? b/c the fans were so supportive? same complainers that wouldn't spend a dime to buy a ticket to the game?

Use the excuse of the islanders not being good and that why you never went? we had plenty of 100pt season where attendance sucked.

Trust me, I would love to have them at Nassau. But then again I shelled out the money to go see them. Ive said this before, Attendance was primary reason they left, not that Wang didn't get his lighthouse project.

Thats not accurate......the lease was expiring, and regardless of attendance, Wang couldnt get his mini city built. Hence they left. Ask yourself this.......why didnt Wang try and get something built in Bellmont or Queens? It wasnt about the team or the attendance, it was an avenue to build on the real estate.
