So weird that Leafs fans would comment on a blog directed right at them.

You'll be hard pressed to find a Leafs fan who thinks Tavares is coming home. Even in Stamkos's case, there was only some buzz early on, when he liked a tweet about coming home... it didn't really pick up until comments from Yzerman that made it sound like they weren't able to offer what he wanted. And even then, there was a large portion of the fanbase that didn't want him and the price tag that a star UFA would come with. Especially one with some health concerns.

Leafs fans are also pretty used to having a US-born star on their team, with their top two players for the last 5 years being yanks.

Even torontos players had enough of the bullsh!t of the media.

The video of phil kessel flipping out on thr reporter are amazing.

Ladies, ladies...let's all settle down.

The truth of the matter is that if you're arguing with strangers for hours on the internet about the same topic....you're just an utterly terrible human. Give it up. This is why my wife left me.

- eichiefs9

Damn. Can't argue with that.

Not often at all that you hear about TO players wanting out. Most love it here, even when the media is being it's normal poop-show self.

I think a lot of athletes know not to read about themselves.

Chances are probably somewhere around 95% at least one of the two, Eichel and Reinhart, do not end up as good as Tavares. Probably 50/50 both of them don't.
- prock

87% of stats are made up on the spot. I'm not diminishing JT. I'm saying the sabres have a potential elite center in Eichel (definitely a true #1 C) and a good #2 C in Reinhart.

My point was a response to people saying JT could be a fit for the Sabres. I don't think the Sabres have a need for JT

if this is the case, JT would only be a hindrance to your team. I guess we can hold onto him just so you don't have any line up issues
- Ddomnitch

My comment was supportive of the fact that JT should stay an Islander.

Damn, you guys are touchy.

Ummm.....you know that was the War of 1812 and it was the British? ......decades before Canada existed as sort of a separate country. But it's so cute that you still honor your Queen by confusing Canada and the U.K.

Hey now... leave Canada out of this!

Just make fun of Toronto and or Ontario instead.

And you guys were a colony once upon a time as well if I recall correctly. Do you not consider the first settlers to land upon what would one day become American soil as "American"?

Is it being from Vancouver that makes Canucks fans so whiny, or is it all the Canucks fans that makes Vancouver seem that way?

Either way, it's a shame such a beautiful piece of land is ruined by such an obnoxious group.

I loved the place in the early 90's. What they said about it being laid back and friendly was 100% true.
10-15 years later, you find out that "really cool, laid back" people, tend to raise really spoiled, arrogant, rotten (frank)ing kids.
I actually find people in Toronto to be friendlier these days. And that's coming from someone who hates the city.
O.K. I admit it. I hate cities period. (frank)ing overly-vertical, over-populated dumps.

Everything he posted was accurate. Eichel just finished his rookie year with 24 g and 56p. Reinhart 23g and 42p. It is not out of the question to believe that in 2 years Eichel will putting up the same points if not better then Tavares, and Reinhart not far behind. So unless Tavares will be willing to move to the wing, were does he fit in the top 6 as a center?
- VT001

Funny, Tim Murray was all over the idea of stamkos.
