now tavares is only a top 6 center? okay.
- Isles_since_6

Everything he posted was accurate. Eichel just finished his rookie year with 24 g and 56p. Reinhart 23g and 42p. It is not out of the question to believe that in 2 years Eichel will putting up the same points if not better then Tavares, and Reinhart not far behind. So unless Tavares will be willing to move to the wing, were does he fit in the top 6 as a center?

Well once moulson and okposo are bought out two spots will be open

Im sure whatever you get back for kane if you trade him will not affect the top 6 at all

- Flexingtheshaft

I can't wait for Moulson to be gone. As for Kane, I doubt there's a trade coming; it's more likely Nylamder will take his spot when his contract runs out or through expansion.

Really not a fan of Okposo, huh?

Yea keep telling yourself that Noel lol Tavares did what every player in the history of sport does and that is deny deny deny obviously. I don't buy it for a second. Oh yea there is that other thing when the team moves for a third time to Queens after next season we will see if Tavares can put up with that too after initially showing his discomfort moving to Brooklyn. But we got Auston anyways so we're good lol

Why do you have Florida's backup goalie as your avatar?

OH YEAH? Well my brother said that his friends father's cousin works with a guy who shares a gardener with Tavares and the gardener said that Tavares prepaid to have his lawn mowed through 2020. CLEARLY my source is superior to yours (e5).

I can't believe you even just repeated your source for that information. At least say you know the aunt or something in order to give yourself the slightest bit of credibility.

P.S. I'm sorry we don't have a logo as intricate and exciting as a maple leaf.

- islanders1717

Your first paragraph was great, but then you completely ruined the joke with your second paragraph. It's a shame - the lawn mowing thing was gold.

As for your third paragraph, could you please point to the Barclay's Center on your logo?

When did you acquire Patty Kane?
- rangerdanger94

Kane is from Buffalo, which is practically in Canada anyway.

Leafs fans and media are for the most part f*ing idiots.

Gretzky isn't even from around Toronto and those pos kept talking about him "coming back"... f*ing idiot media.

living in Vancouver, you find out first hand how aggressive, obnoxious, arrogant, and pretentious human beings can be... nothing against the minority of leafs fans who aren't like that and who can make rational comments on other teams boards and those who don't harass you in person when you wear some other team's sweater in the greater toronto area.

Fixed
By the way. Been to games in TO, MTL, CAL, DET, BUF, NY, PIT, PHI, ATL and Carolina. The only 2 cities I ever thought my jersey was going to get me killed in, were Ottawa and Vancouver.
Ottawa, I could understand since we were in the process of booting them from the playoffs for the 3rd straight time. For a Vancouverite to use the terms 'aggressive', 'obnoxious', and [especially] 'pretentious', is the absolute definition of hippocracy.

Vancouver in the 70's 80's and early 90's you might have had a point. These days, it's probably tied with Hollywood for being the self entitled whiner capitol of North America.

Christ dont all you leafs fans have your own thread to go talk about how good youre going to be in three years. So what if the question was in jest, jt answered it because maybe thats how he really feels and wants to stop all the nonsense that stamkos had to deal with. I get that Toronto is the quote unqoute center of the hockey universe but some people dont want that pressure or to play there just like some players dont want to play for the yankees. I think jt is the kind of guy that can handle that pressure but hes also a stand up guy thats loyal to his team and has always said hed like to play for one team. Now heres something all of you leafs guys can go stroke it to
ironic its going to be an american that pulls you out of your doldrums when none of the hometown boys want to come home to play.

- Upstate_isles

So weird that Leafs fans would comment on a blog directed right at them.

You'll be hard pressed to find a Leafs fan who thinks Tavares is coming home. Even in Stamkos's case, there was only some buzz early on, when he liked a tweet about coming home... it didn't really pick up until comments from Yzerman that made it sound like they weren't able to offer what he wanted. And even then, there was a large portion of the fanbase that didn't want him and the price tag that a star UFA would come with. Especially one with some health concerns.

Leafs fans are also pretty used to having a US-born star on their team, with their top two players for the last 5 years being yanks.

I find this absolutely hilarious, and so phenomenally rife with irony, coming from a Canucks fan.

Vancouver is probably the most pretentious place in North America.

And oh yeah, they like to burn their city down when they don't win a hockey game. Not sure how that isn't aggressive.

Is it being from Vancouver that makes Canucks fans so whiny, or is it all the Canucks fans that makes Vancouver seem that way?

Either way, it's a shame such a beautiful piece of land is ruined by such an obnoxious group.

if this is the case, JT would only be a hindrance to your team. I guess we can hold onto him just so you don't have any line up issues

Chances are probably somewhere around 95% at least one of the two, Eichel and Reinhart, do not end up as good as Tavares. Probably 50/50 both of them don't.

Off the ice hes a great guy

But you will see. He doesnt play D well and is often one of the last players back. His toe drag into the slot move is old. He is a power forward who doesnt go hard to thr net and doesnt battle infront of thr net

The eye injury though is whats really concerning
