Nothing is for certain but here is to hoping. Twelve players that should be here for the next 6 years
Goalies Markstrom Demko
Defence Tanev Juolevi Gudbrandson Tryamkin
Forwards Bo Boeser JV Sven Sutter Eriksson - VANTEL
2021/22 the only players on the payroll are Eriksson and Luongo
Just kinda found that funny! Obviously there'll be some younger guys signed but just looks funny. |

@Lefty. The thing that I don't like about the Flyers is all their best Dmen will be just beginning while their forwards are now getting close to 30 |

I would think Hextall is looking beyond Giroux, Simmonds & Voracek. I like that the Flyers spent three consecutive drafts picking good young defencemen in the first round, plus Ghost in the third round. They take some time to develop so he can now address the forwards, as he did this year, to come around when the "D" are ready.
He hasn't traded any youth to address holes, as Benning has done, that I can think of anyways. Slow and steady just keep building, I like what Hextall is doing.
He's creating a push from below for when that group you mentioned gets into their early 30's. |

Future of the forwards.
Right side. The right side is our strongest forward spot. Eriksson Hansen JV Boeser Dorsett. Dorsett can now be moved or used for expansion draft this year. I think extending Hansen for three years would secure a very strong right side for the next 5 years.
Center. Hank Bo Sutter. This position needs work . Hank could be gone in two years , so going forward it is time to build for the future.
Left side. Danny Sven Etem Rodin Gaunce. Definitely the weakest spot on the team . Lots of question marks. It could be ok but it could be a nightmare.
Tradables : Miller. Hutton . Pedan. Any current left forward. Prospects. Draft picks. Dorsett. Sbisa. - VANTEL
How is Hutton tradable?
Even with the addition of EG (whom frankly, could level out as a 5-7th dman) we still have one of the weakest d-cores in the league.
The team finally (literally) stumbles upon a young d-man with untold potential and you wish to move him after he's played 70ish games?
Very odd.

Benning had to. I think going forward Benning will keep his picks and youth. He has one more spot to fill with a bit of urgency. After that develop and replace |

I don't understand the hype around Provorov...he will be a top pairing D man most likely but I hear people saying he could be top 5 in the league. Didn't even notice him in the Memorial Cup. Juolevi was way more effective |

I am nt advocating to move him. If there was a big trade to be had it would make more sense to trade him than trading Tanev. |

He's really solid, a great young dman that does everything well and he's a strong strong skater IMO. |

How so?
Hutton essentially demonstrated more offensive prowess in his first pro-season then Tanev has in his entire career. Not to mention he's younger and cheaper and again, could further develop into something this team has lacked for years, a reliable offensive defenseman. |

indeed, already has been for much of his career.
Fans see the 20 to 25 minutes a game attached to his otherwise non-existant stat sheet and think we got the second coming of Matthias Ohlund and yet, he has rarely actually been effective at defense when deployed.
I am totally hoping for a turn-around on his part, but to believe it's a given fact that we just aquired a top two d-man is unrealistic and irrational.
Time will tell, for the teams sake I hope to Christ I'm wrong... |

If you chose to build your D around Hutton over Tanev , good for you.
I personally think Tanev is better. |
