If the charges against Kane are non-criminal, why are they handcuffing him? - micah555
Against the rules to talk about other teams players. |

Ryan Miller is going to impacted by the Goalie Equipment change more-so than Markstrom in my opinion.
Ryan Miller is 165ibs, which means no more XXL pants anymore. - classic321
my son is 5.11 and around 150. wears a medium t-shirt and fits perfect on him. I'm an inch taller, 50lbs heavier and usually wear xl. must be weird sizing when yo have a tall goalie that is that skinny and we see some sizes in the xx range that is more for girth than height.
waiting for the sumo goalie and how the equipment fit would be on them. |

I was wondering that myself. I don't know if an owner like Pegula who has such deep roots in the community will put up with having a player like that on his team. I just don't know if he can get his act together if he were traded back home though.... |

is it only the Canucks that get screwed in trades or like Vancouver with the Kassian trade, will Buffalo have to add to move Kane?
I know the on ice production is tempting, but how many teams in the league really want Kane? and if you give up assets and the experiment fails, as a GM where does it leave you?
If you have a veteran laden team, with a good locker room, do you risk bringing in Kane?
If you have a club with some young players, do you want Kane as a distraction? |

Just trying to give the illusion of there being less to shoot at.
I can't wait to see which goaltenders can"t adjust.
Corey Crawford & Vasilevsky are both in for a rude awakening.

Lots of worse players who have had issues with the law or discipline related issues have been signed and traded for. I imagine some team will pay some assets to get Kane. I doubt Buffalo will have to sweeten the pot. |

The risk is also huge due to his contract. It's not like you're taking a chance on a guy with a $2 million cap hit. You can't just cut bait.

Hey so here's what i'm thinking at this very moment.
4th line next season
Lauri Korpikoski - Nick Spaling - Derek Dorsett. That's an experienced, good speed, forechecking, energy line all capable of scoring 20 points in a season.
Granlund sucks. |

Tough call on both. I do think he's worth a reasonable risk, and I do not see any team who would want to take him on now. I think Sbisa and 2nd, and a conditional first round pick is realistic/fair. The conditional first round pick would be if the Canucks re-signed him after two years. Sbisa and a 2nd for a two year evaluation is fair. And if Kane plays well enough for the Nucks to make a long term commitment - well, I think a first rounder would be reasonable compensation. If his play is not up to snuff, you walk away. That said, I just can't see him getting his act together, so its back to square one. |

just think about how big some of the gloves are with the "cheaters", if they are able to bring the gear back to where it is just big enough to stop some pucks and protect the goalie instead of tent like with all the webbing, it should create some scoring. |

Your right, but a team would have to give up much assets. Maybe equiv to between a 2nd or 3rd at this point. Maybe even less. |

If you can get Kane for cheap you gotta do it, havent heard of him being a bad locker room guy in Buffalo, and if hes good on the ice/ locker room it doesnt concern me what he does for his summers, i think most of the kids are mature enough not to go that route, Hutton spends his time with tanev, Bo seems like future captain material, Virtanen would be the only one id worry about, but if Kane influences him more then the Sedins, Gudbranson, Linden then Utica is were he belongs for a while |

Ice and dice would be awesome with Kane.
He could just greet people coming in with fat stacks of cash in his hands. |
