I wouldn't assume that. |

He should be bought out or traded.
Just my opinion. Time to cut your losses on this guy. He had multiple issues with teammates in Winnipeg and now 2 legal issues in Buffalo
At what point do you just say its time to move on? These issues clearly follow the player. Buffalo is not quite in a win now mode and for a team you are trying to build up and bring a lot of youth up, you dont want him and his attitude infecting the locker room or the upcoming prospects |

Peter Holland on waivers. Do Sabres take a chance on him? - Lilroot9
I wouldn't bother, myself. He's not very good. Might be OK for a 4th line/AHL tweener |

I would. The Pegula teams are rudderless ships that don't take a hard stance on anything. How many arrests and suspensions do they have this month? |

Isn't he on the final year of that contract? Can't see the point in buying him out. |

He can't be bought out right now. And no team's going to trade for him. Only other option would be to suspend him, which I don't see happening because Murray traded a lot for him. |

This is a very favorable buyout if Buffalo is committed to cutting the tumor out

No not until the boil warning is lifted. They just got back the results of the first test about a half hour ago and it came back negative. They have to wait for the 2nd test to comeback before it's lifted though. - bluengold12

His buyout would be dirt cheap since his age would be only a 1/3 buyout instead of a 2/3 buyout |

Murray isn't trading him at this point in time. He would get $0.01 on the dollar for him. It actually could be the "come to Jesus" moment that Kane needs in his life in order to turn his off-ice behaviour around. I am hopeful that he uses this as his motivation to clean up his off-ice behaviour and focus on hockey. In the longer term, it could be a positive for both him and the Sabres. But it's up to him. |

Agreed. I'm not buying him out. He either plays here or we trade him for a piece. |

I honestly think trading him at his full value contract would be harder than most think
His issues in Buffalo are well documented and I guarantee any team gauging interest in E.Kane would also call up Chevy in Winnipeg and ask him what happened there too
After is all said and done, I doubt you find many teams willing to take on a large cap hit headache who doesnt play nice in the sandbox with teammates and off the ice |

Man.. I wish we could go back in time and have Murray trade Myers and Stafford and Lemiux for a different winger and defenceman... We could have done it for Bobby Ryan or someone else as good as Kane was when he was traded for |

he was accused of assault and sued for damages while in Vancouver while still with the Jets was the only major winnipeg issue.
The rest were him walking out on bills, asking to be paid to show up at bars, teammate & coach issues. |

maybe im being "too PC" on this issue, just personally I just dont see any good in the team playing the wait and see approach with him after the off season he has had. It doesnt give the best impression - DDM-Coga
What're they to do then? Suspend him now and then when nothing happens to him apologize? Ill play the waiting game. |
