I get that. They added Yandle as a number 2 which is great as Ekblad is unreal.

Kulikov and Gudbranson are better than Demers and Pysyk IMO. With Petrovic as well, they have a bunch of puck movers with little to no toughness/ physicality. Rowe went full on analytics when building this group. I think it's a good group for the regular season.

Another (small) matter is that most of these deals include a signing bonus (usually around $90k) which is great for the kids who have come through junior hockey and not received a single hockey-related paycheck in their lives... Auston just went out and got himself a $400k contract last year, so not in quite the same need to get his hands on a little cash.
