If Benning was interested in Pirri or Hudler it would have been done already. He is looking for a young tough twenty goal scorer.

Otherwise keep the cap space and make a move later.

Not necessarily, he might be waiting to see how arbitration plays out or if teams need to shed salary. The beauty of not needing to make any moves is that you can see how things play out. Maybe he can grab something on the cheap. If not, there are a couple of second tier UFAs he can think about. Or he can do nothing and go into the season as is.

He very well could grab someone from arbitration. If that fails he won't get Hudler .

I still think it will be Kane

To EDUCATE u further...
A free stop gap player vs a player trading with assets is simple math.
As for any deal or signing there is no pressing need to do anything.
Now if u think a Kreider is the missing piece for the future state what it costs us.

- Nighthawk

Well I don't think Kreider is the missing piece at all so I couldn't tell you.

Flags at half staff, even the kiwi flag. Torn Corrado jerseys symbolizing how he was ripped from us by the evil Leafs and ass management of Benning. Chanting of Sbisa's yearly Corsi in Gregorian style. Debates about Dorset's salary. Baking and then eating cakes that look like wasted second round picks. Reciting the oath, "Raymond plus opens the Gates of Heaven. Airing of Jim Benning grievances (too much like Festivus?) Over-consumption of six new hot dogs. Calling Tanev worst names than a Republican can call Hillary. And pray to the Almighty that you live long enough to see Corrado captaining Canada's gold medal winning hockey and European handball team.

Pirri is a no-go for me. Hudler is an easy decision between the two. Again our top 6 is insanely soft if we go this route.

Sedin-Sedin-Eriksson
Hudler-Sutter-(insert 3rd liner)

Lucic would have given us the much needed grit up front. Now if Virtanen can elevate his game and is actually training this offseason rather than searching for Pokemon he could be in that top6.

Well, it could be worse... he could like Britney Spears and be a Brony, then we'd really have to yank his man card.
