If Devils can get Hall for Larsson, we should be able to get Draisaitl for Kline. I literally giggled myself to sleep thinking of that Hall trade. - Rocket_Launcher
 I'd be happy with a 7th rounder |

If they were truly independent could the NHL fire them? - VANTEL
Yes. Just like how Shaw and Telus can get rid of independent contractors. |

How do you think the next arbitrator will feel going into its next decision?
Will I lose my job if I disagree with the leagues ruling?
I didn't agree with the arbitrators decision but firing him because of that negates that idea of independence. - belcherbd
He got fired because he pushed his weight around when the league determined a player deserved a 20 game suspension. The arbitrator over stepped his authority in the matter. The next one will do his job and not think himself some hot shot that is above the league that he essentially gets his money from. |

After reading th blog for a few years I today finally signed up to post about being sick of hearing about Frank Corrado.
Anyone who claims it was poor asset management by JB obviously never watched him play. He is average at best, a career AHLer and the only reason he was on anyones radar for the Canucks is because he was called up for the playoffs (in which we were swept).
Even the leafs scratched him for the first 10 games, claiming his strength was lacking and he's bottom of the depth chart.
Please give it a rest about Corrado, we didn't need him, and we let him go to his home town which according to him was a dream come true (even though they don't need him either). - Nznuck
I think most would agree. I think it's more the way they lost him when they didn't need to. That being said, I don't feel we could have got anything for him if we kept him and I think the reason why so much criticism took place was the lack of defensive depth we had when it happened. JB has since rectified that and done very well in doing so. |

DBots son? - VANTEL
possibly, although i'm not sure he's up to date on the Corrado situation, he's still convinced that Sedin is the greatest hockey player (because he has the jersey ) |

Welcome Nznuck, if you've been reading the blog for a few years you know that hysteria rules any perceived wrong doing by Benning, if he is wrong we hear about, if he is right we hear about how he is wrong. - Makita
Also any criticism of Benning will be met accusations of mental health issues, seeking a bridge to commit suicide from, and generally causing drama in the form of a queen.....

Wasn't it just Phucker that got all hot and bothered? That's my recolecction, i don't recall worrying too much about it.
Fringe NHLer got picked off waivers...
I think we can sneak Pedan down if he doesn't make the cut after training camp, similar to how we did with Markstrom the other year when teams are busy making their own decisions and would have to waive their own players to make room. |

honestly if hutton was able to outplay him into a position the guy can stay in the AHL.
What really ticked me off was the media calling us idiots for letting him go even tho all he did was warm the wood. |

Possibly. I didn't really care much myself. I was thinking that's why even the media swarmed the situation too. At the time we really had nothing else coming down the pipe for defenseman. Seeing how he couldn't even crack the Leafs lineup I can see JB was justified in doing what he did even if it was unnecessary. |

The media is a joke for the most part. I don't like a lot of what they say but it doesn't bother me anymore. Can't worry about things out of my control. |

Nucker didn't care, in fact most here didn't. But he's an easy target right ?

Does anybody remember the date Corrado went on waivers? I propose that on the anniversary there shall be a British Columbia Day of Mourning to remember the injustice of losing Corrado and to decry the high crimes and misdemeanours of Jim Benning for the felony of poor asset management(trademark pending) - bazz
That's going to be a great day!!

Drag or Drama? They respond differently. One throws a hissy fit , the other just goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on |
