Honestly Jim, I'm torn. Because deep down I see what kind of player he could be, I just don't know if he will ever be that player. So I don't mind the longer term at a cheaper number. Kreider drives me (frank)ing nuts. I don't think I ever had such mixed emotions about a player.

I am not sure if they are looking at one year or two year arbitration awards in Kreider's case but as far as I can see, that's the best case scenario when it concerns how you feel about Kreider

an arbitrator will come right down the middle on a Kreider award, maybe even 1 year 4 million

On Kreider, if the Rangers sign him just sign him to a 3 year or 4 year deal worth like 4.25-4.5 million per. He's shown, at times he's a force. Just let him turn it loose and play his game. The Rangers are going to regret not signing him long term.

He's lightning fast, strong as a bull, and has a hard shot (although inaccurate).

But, he has stone hands, misses the net way too much, is smart as hell off the ice but dumb as a box of rocks on it, and is invisible in long stretches.

The cons are limiting factors to his potential. I don't think he'll every be a $7 million per year guy because of those cons, but he could be a $5 million per year guy.

You convinced me Pete.

I think I need to step away from the Kreider potential salary debate and just accept that Gorton is most likely a lot smarter than I am, and whatever happens, I will be ok with it.

I am not even convinced that Zucc is totally safe. They gave him a one year no trade clause. Clearly they wanted some flexibility.
- Pete V

I'm not either, and I (frank)ing hate it... Zuke would be a perfect 2nd liner for most teams. $4.5M for 60 pts and some elite skills is worth a lot in a trade

But if he scores 30 or close to it next year the price goes up. I really do see both sides of the argument. Pete put me at peace though, so no more Kreider talk from me. I will wait patiently with TPC

I don't think management gives one rats ass about what the fans think, and I think that's the way it should be, but boy, trading Zucc, that would really make everyone lose it, no matter what the return

you can't trade Zucc. You trade Zucc and the pulse of this team is all but dead. Look what happened without him in the 2015 playoffs. They missed him badly.

Goalies will soon rejoice when Kreider goes to the KHL. See how that works, not fun right.

Kreider hasn't hit a goalie in 2 years and I think its only like a 0.0001% chance Kreider would go to Russia. Probability is a lot higher Zucc could be moved

Agreed.
No doubt most fans loves him and he's worth more than his salary for NYR, but in a package with Kleiner or, dear I say Kreider... - we would get an elite player back.

Maybe even a true numbah one centa

The Rangers have interest in Shattenkirk.

The Blues have interest in moving him.

If a deal between the two teams happens, which I still think is unlikely, I think Kreider will be involved.

Why give up something for a player we will likely get for free next summer.

OJ hasn't murdered his wife in like 20 years. Would you want him around your female relatives?

He hasn't murder a female in 8 years because he's been with all men.

So you're saying Kreider should be in jail to protect goalies? TPC is going to be devastated.

Zucc is pretty damn close to untouchable for me. I would move every single forward besides Buchnevich before him.
