Question, if the Rangers decide to go to arbitration and pay the 1 year, does that make him more of a trade piece? If the Rangers have the money and don't want to sign him long term, not a very ringing endorsement.

Leetch is still my all time favorite Ranger, and to hear him talk about Gretzky just brings it all back home. I was fortunate (or unfortunate) to have a ticket plan during those years and got to see 99 play live. His vision of the ice is unparalleled, and his demeanor off the ice as well. Even my wife couldn't believe that was the great Gretzky, he was so humble.

(frank) me! Sunday was brutal, we almost had a friend pick us up at the halfway point (10.5 or so miles) because is was so damned hot and humid.
This week we are going to do some brutal climbs and keep it short, only 5 or so miles and have extra water in the truck, and end early, hit the pool and have some beers. Call of the Wilds is only a few weeks away. Just have to finish this one in under 10 hours.
Did I mention I hate summer?

Awesome stuff by Leetchy. I was a big Oilers fan in the early-80s, when everyone else was rooting for the Islanders. Had a party and most of my friends were watching the Cup Finals on USA cable and I was the only one rooting for the Oilers. I still think if Potsie and Sundstrom (let alone Kovy) were healthy in '97 the Rangers beat Philly and go to the Cup Finals.

He is a big reason why my kid plays defense, this was my kid's first season and s it turned out he was one of the strongest defense men, being in texas I was one of the few parents that understood hockey and could skate.

useless trivia, Leetch was born in Texas, and the orignal owner of the Rangers was from texas, thats how they got their name Tex' Rangers, he wanted to call them the giants
