Fair enough. I really was just trying to make the point that almost no college free agents (in recent memory, before someone points out Boyle or St. Louis) have a significant impact on their team, drafted or undrafted. The only one I can think of that turned out to be a reasonably decent player is DeKeyser. - eichiefs9
Are you still sad that Kevin Hayes rag dolled Hickey to score one of the top goals of the year 2 seasons ago? |

Well Hayes had a good rookie season, last year was a let down. A bit early to call Hayes a bust. He has the tools. - mdw7413
I really included him just to break balls. It's too early to make a fair call on him. |

Hayes is a good hockey player; sophomore slumps happen to many players. |

He also led the charge to exactly zero victories against the Islanders in four attempts this past season.

Not much to speak of for your team so you resort to pointing out a regular season series result? |

No like that's when he's allowed to sign |

End of the day Vesey should end up on Toronto. |

Well it's July, so there's not really very much to talk about regarding any team. |

Don't read EK's blog
Although if EK is saying the Rangers & Kreider are to far apart, that means Kreider is signed by 1:00 today - mdw7413
It's true if you go by the numbers both sides entered into arbitration. But those numbers are low-ball vs high-ball. They mean very little.

Torey Krug, Tyler Bozak, JT Brown, Tyler Johnson, Sustr, and Matt Read were all recent I drafted college free agents I think |

Toronto has a lot more upside than the sh!t show Bruins. Plays with Marner or Matthews next season; sounds like situation too good to pass up for a young prospect. |

Johnson was a free agent signing from the WHL; no college pedigree. |

Johnson played for Spokane in the WHL.
Brown, Sustr and Read haven't really have particularly notable careers. Forgot about Krug, add him to the DeKeyser category. Didn't realize Bozak wasn't drafted either. I guess he's alright, I just take anything Leafs fans say with a boulder-sized grain of salt. |

Browns a good 4th liner and Sustr has developed nicely into a top 4 defenseman. Read is a decent 3rd liner I'd say.
Nothing crazy but you can find a few quality NHL players off the college scrap heap. |

There has to be.
If NJ can have a few, certainly PA has had some. |
