We have other tough Dmen on the team, don't need a 4th that couldn't crack the lineup last season of all seasons. He really doesn't have much value. If we can't get a pick back for him then waivers it is, and another lost gamble.

If JB could get Landeskog for Tanev, well I don't know what to say, that's beyond Botchford's ideal scenario.

Finally, someone willing to think of trading the hands down MVP of the team (according to some).
the way some people rate Tanev on here, I think JB should have been able to net the team Taylor Hall... not sure why JB didn't pull the trigger ...
Tanev, the right-shot defenceman, should have huge value in a market where teams are continuing to overpay for even average blue-liners.
Weber according to the analytics guy is average. We could have had Subban if Tanev had any known leadership abilities. |

Oh - and the Caps have settled with Marcus Johansson on the eve of their arbitration hearing. Three-year deal, meet in the middle. Sounds about right.
