71% of you guys want Kane . Didn't expect that. Not sure what is fair value for Kane at this point but I would think a roster player and a prospect might be fair. Further, I think he stays a sabre for the foreseeable future. Maybe he'll be a TD move. - mhp
Some want Kane, but not enough to actually give up anything for him. |

The thing about the sexual assault ( grabbing girls at the bar is one thing) . I am not defending him but he was drunk grabbed a girls boob. Not good.
I also think Ron MacLean should have been charged for taking his shirt off in public.
Other than the bar incident , he flashed a wad of money in a picture and after that I am not sure what else he did.
The bar thing is a huge mistake but if some one can fill me in on all the other bad things he did I would like to know.? - VANTEL
No excuse for grabbing at women. None.
Also, wasn't the Ron Maclean thing photo shopped?? |

Maybe he should think about taking on Hodgson's Dad as his agent. - thundachunk
The players didn't like Hodgson because he drank milk instead of beer.
They don't like Kane because he drinks shots of everclear out of strippers bungholes...
Some kids just can't find that middle ground. |

I am starting to think Yzerman is totally inept. 8.5 million left Kucherov and 3 others still not signed. Next summer Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat and Ben Bishop. Me thinks they go for one more shot at the cup and then its time to break up the core. I can't see them getting them all signed with the massive signings that have gone on recently. - thundachunk
i thought he was doing pretty good.
Signed Stamkos and Hedman.
held his ground re Drouin (who came back with a vengeance in the playoffs).
Signed what's his face today.
Bishop will be moved.
And the other's can be signed and/or flipped for futures just like Chicago seems to do every other year. |

He isn't doing bad but he will be in trouble once those contracts come up next season. They could be good bargaining chips come the draft. I don't think he can afford Johnson, Drouin or Bishop. Palat he could manage out of the 4. One more kick at the cup for them and if they can't get it done move some assets. |

I care about the off ice stuff. Character is extremely important. Regardless of what some think being a quality person is more important than a stupid game. This is where society as a whole is going wrong. Shane Doan is a perfect example about being a good person. We don't have to look farther than our best players about what being a quality person is all about. - thundachunk
I agree with your point about character being important. Those are the kinds of people you want your kids looking up to. At the same time, you pointed out three players, and none of them have won anything. Character doesn't add or subtract from your chances of winning. Lots of terrible people have won a cup. Lots of great ones never will. |

If anyone can fix Kane its Linden, the Sedins or playing in his home town. The Canucks (I'm sure they are) should be trying to figure out if Kane can change, and more importantly wants to change. If the answer is yes, of course they should explore |

I'd take him if we can get him for spare parts, otherwise no. The Canucks leadership group couldn't reign Kassian in and he didn't seem half as entitled as Kane does. You can't help someone if they don't want help. Plus I'm not sure playing in his home town is such a good thing, particularly when that home town is Vancouver. All his high school buddies are just waiting to be yes men for a young kid with money to spend. |

this is true and i agree. Its also all perspective.
I also agree with the poster that at least he's not that marchand weasel. I cringed every time his name was said on team canada even. Id easily take Kanes off ice crap over marchands weasel crap on the ice any day. - SMBDragon
A guy taking cheap shots on the ice is worse than one grabbing women by the throat off of it? That's fcked man. |

whoa, Im not comparing the 2 incident wise.
But as a PLAYER we dont watch his off ice crap we just hear about it. I watch games and would hate to see that on ice garbage
There may be more wrong with the described incident with kane, but marchand I never want on my team
btw did you see the report that the video evidence does not support the claims against him? He may be innocent. |

Totally (frank)ed.... but Ghomeshi doesn't agree.
Tough choice, Marchand or Kane I might be more inclined to #63

I wouldn't give up a blue chip prospect but I would give up a B prospect and a 2nd pick...IF, Benning and Linden feel he can be rehabilitated |

Well the first one is a substance what you can hold away from people.
Even if it is not easy it is much easier to fix then a attitude problem
The Canucks should stay away from Kane also because of issues on the ice

I have never put my hands on a woman without her consent. That is no excuse. - thundachunk
I am not saying it is an excuse . I am merely pointing out when people drink or do dugs they do stupid things |

I was joking about McLean.
I never once said it was ok for Kane to do it. I was pointing out people do crazy stuff when they drink or do drugs . Some people get behind wheels of cars and kill people . I am just stating the facts. |
