Driver's responsibility to be aware at pedestrian crossings.
You're the one driving the 2 ton death mobile. - Feeling Glucky?
Yeah, but they're the idiots walking out in front of said 2 ton death mobile without a care in the world.
I have to commute into TO every day, and on average i'd say I miss a train or subway at least 3 times a week because of some a-hole walking the stairs at a snails pace, oblivious to the 5000 people behind himher in a rush. I don't care how dangerous it is. The more idiots in zombie text mode that get flattened, the better for everyone. It's utterly ignorant and selfish, and anyone doing it deserves a punch in the head.
I'm normally against government interference in things like this, but the law has unfortunately made it illegal to punch selfish a-holes in the head, and so they go happily about their stupid, selfish, oblivious lives. Bastards.

It's the drivers looking to turn right onto a busy street, so they are looking left to spot a gap in traffic.
THEY NEVER FRANKING LOOK RIGHT BEFORE THEY TURN!
If I run to work in the morning, I carry a referee's whistle. I have to blast it at least twice in 6 km - every time.
Funny thing is I thought drivers would get mad and give me the finger - but everyone seems to actually appreciate it (I'm not kidding). - Atomic Wedgie
Yeah it's really wild how consistent it is. There's a parking garage I walk by all the time and drivers pulling out only look at the traffic, they act like there isn't a sidewalk in front. Even though they aren't moving I don't even attempt to walk by until I get eye contact. Have had way too many close calls. |

There are plenty of morons on both sides but cars can kill. A pedestrian walking when it's yellow is significantly less of a big deal than a driver almost hitting someone. - daeth
Fundamentally, yes. I just think pedestrians, need to exercise sanity, and take care of their own lives. I, having had the unfortunate experience previously of regularly having to navigate traffic during rush hour in a car make sure to be reasonable when I'm walking around. For example, I'll jog when crossing the street if someone's trying to take a left. It's a common courtesy. I often don't see these common courtesies on both sides.
Problem is everyone acts like their time is the most important

Holy Frank I am full. - bixll
I had a steak, asparagus, grilled red pepper, goat cheese arugula salad at a local eatery.
It was actually pretty filling. |

Nothing to do with anything you said, but I haven't paid much attention to the Tenor singing what he did at the ASG. So I finally read up on it, what he said and reading the uproar. I guess he's a racist? Because he undermined that Black lives thing by saying all lives do? Is that what some are saying? Maybe it's not the best topic, I'm sure Dozzer will delete if needs to be. - weirdoh
No he's not a racist.
Just an idiot who changed a line in our national anthem to voice his political views. |

In the early 80s, my mother went out and bought a Sony Walkman II. Her plan was to wear it while driving to work so that she could listen to classical music.
The entire family quickly convinced her that this was probably not a great idea.
But here's the great thing: she no longer had any use for it. And somehow (I have no idea how) I managed to snag it (I had two older brothers and an older sister).
It was da bomb.
Everyone else in junior high had crappy knock-offs - Panasonic or maybe JIL that they had bought at Consumer's Distributing.
I had the Sony Walkman II!
The orange headphones were the key. And that weird case? You could load in 2 C or D batteries and it was an external power supply.
Seriously, I was the franking man in junior high.
Sadly, it's been all downhill since then. - Atomic Wedgie
Found a Consumer Distributing catalog in father-in-law's attic.
Quite the flashback.

People who should be sterilized (at the least):
Anti-Vax
Giving vegan diet to kids/pets
People who "cleanse" - lumlums
I have BT on for background noise every morning and there was a brutal segment this morning. There was a woman hocking deodorant that "pulls toxins out of your body". |

I know he's not a racist, I don't think he is. But I'm just thinking that certain people will claim he is because of what he said. That's all.
Stupid move on his part. |

I would argue that his political views are inherently racist. |

He probably wouldn't be able to hit as much as he did back then so he may even have a longer healthier career if he played now too. He'd be a beast in the modern NHL. |

10years in jail minimum for these people.
Not only endangering their own kids, but as well mine and yours. - MaximusAurelius
We should have the right to decide what we put into our own bodies. There had been proof of: unknown side effects, allergic, sometimes fatal reactions, drastically lower than reported effectiveness, etc, etc. The human body is a machine designed to fight to defend itself. Even one death is sad but we would eventually evolve over generations to kill most of these bacteria and viruses without medicine. If you get sick, get medical assistance to the max. Don't spend billions trying to stop every illness under the sun with preventative and mostly UNPROVEN vaccines when the long term effects are unknown. There are exceptions to this rule (small pox, rabies, etc). |
