kinda hard to make that statement right now as he's only played 8 games in the nhl
- Michael Pachla

It's my hot take and I'm going to stand by it. He's shown the offensive instinct and drive that he, in my eyes, is and will be better offensively than them.

I can get this take exposed in a few months if he busts

There was talk of Nylander "going home" in the last blog, and how he'll need to adjust to the NA game. He played in the OHL last year. Not sure how much more adjusting he'll need.

Call me crazy, but I don't think going to Sweden will help him adjust to the NA game.

I personally would like to see a rink system where the current size is the mandatory minimum, and then have a maximum size. Teams could choose any size in between. It would make arenas unique and add to the pregame storylines. Teams could be built with rink size in mind
- jcragcrumple

I wasn't around for it but wasn't that almost what it was like with the Aud?

It became the center of entertainment in Buffalo and was also the last of the NHL arenas in which the ice surface was not the regulation size of 200 by 85 feet.
The Aud was 196 by 85 feet, Boston Garden was 191 by 83 feet, Chicago Stadium was 188 by 85 feet and the Detroit Olympia was 200 by 83 feet.

I get you mean that they could make it different based on preference. 2 problems. 1, you want to have regulations so that teams don't have advantages. I can see why it would add drama but then every time a team wins with that there's the "That's not fair" conversation. 2, to do this teams would only really be able to change it when building new arenas or renovating their current ones. This is a massive undertaking especially for smaller market teams.

This is what I feel like you're going to get:

https://www.pastemagazine...an-nwsl-game-was-pla.html

I get it you said have a minimum but it's still going to look weird like this sometimes.

No, it was just a picture. A blurb I read mentioned the name, and I was right with it (though without the fancy accents on the last name)

Already hate you guys

But it's going to be fun. Hopefully we meet in the playoffs within the next few years. Now that would be fun.

- Zschalberg

It's easier to hate the leafs because of the media and all that centre of the universe crap. My hatred for the Sabres will return I'm sure when they start making the playoffs. Can you imagine us both in the eastern conference final? Dare to dream.

When I was 13 or 14 my dad woke me up around 6am the day after Halloween in the pitch black with a chainsaw and he was dressed in all black. My mom video taping it from behind. Scared me pretty bad for about thirty seconds until I realized it was them

A bunch of Skarsgards in the acting biz, not sure who this one is personally.

One was a scientist in Thor/Avengers, another was on True Blood (this one is Tarzan currently) - I think this newest one is pretty unknown

Not sure if it's been said, but at the scrimmage Saturday, the smallest player listed was 5'11". I really hopet he nhl finds a way to expand the ice surface (I know it's a dream)
- jcragcrumple

Brian Burke wants to get rid of the first row of seats all the way around the rink and expands the ice accordingly. The only problem is cost, both in lost revenue and retrofitting arenas that may be in use for another 10 years at the most.

We can't, m8. We're in the same division so we can only go as far as the semis with the new format unfortunately.
