I remember flying over Canada in July and seeing all those outdoor ice rinks with kids playing, it was amazing

So if I made a list that went something like this:
Crosby, Malkin, Thornton, Sedin, Kopitar, McDavid, Seguin, Toews, Tavares, Getzlaf, Backstrom, Stamkos, Barkov, you'd say Bergeron is getting ripped off and should be on that list ahead or ohhh, Barkov at number 13? - kev1586
Seriously? At this stage in their career, you'd take Sedin and Thornton ahead of Bergeron? Getzlaf, really? I'd put Bergeron in the same class as Toews and Kopitar. Dominant two way centers. |

Well, Bergeron was better than Toews last year.
I still take Toews before him 11 times out of 10, but they're not that far off. |

Pppfffffff, I could have maybe handled an argument on Sedin, but to throw Getzlaf and Thornton in there is idiotic at best. Then you follow that by placing Bergeron with Kopitar and Toews? Are you Jack Edwards or just his brother-cousin?
Chara is still as good as Doughty too, right? |

Toews' career avg is about 63 pts per season. Bergeron is close to that as well. Bergeron outscored him last season. He's also better defensively.
Toews earned a reputation of being a god through the Canadian media. He's an excellent player but to mock the idea that Bergeron is that far off from being equal to Toews is ludicrous. |

No. At this point, Chara is a 2nd pairing defenseman at best.
You do know how old Thornton is, right? He isn't even in the same ballpark as Bergeron defensively. |

Can you imagine casual Predators fans when they see Weber on the ice but they have no clue it's not Shea, but Yannick Weber? |

I thought Weber was captain.... and omg he's so small how can people say he hits like a truck?..... Decent shot though.... clearly overrated. |

So you take a 35 yo Sedin and a 37 yo Thornton before a 30 yo Bergeron?
Bergevin, is that you? |

You know what, I'll believe Weber is slowing down when I see it. He's 31, not 37 and he's been asked to play a more responsible role with Josi as opposed to being the offensive guy when he was with Suter. Now take the beast of a man that he is and place him with the smaller and weaker opponents in the Atlantic. I get that people are upset about losing a Subban heading into his prime but I think dinks like Berkshire and his 75 advanced stats graphs have greatly exaggerated the Weber demise. |
