2 people work together and don't get along.... Which one does the company want to get rid of, the higher ranked guy that does his job really well or the shlub who is mediocre at his? - burn
I don't think it was just 2 people though...I agree you get rid of the scrub if it was...I think it was much bigger....like many players including some of their top forwards.
Just my thoughts...and his on ice theatrics gets old quick. IMO
I can understand both sides but lean in favour towards the trade.

Woah woah woah.
Dog poop? Nobody said that. But Larsson is not even close to being worth the 4th leading scorer the last few seasons. Not even close. - systemtool
I'm not saying you guys called him dog poop, but the outrage over this trade is puzzling. Did anyone thing getting a 23 year old top pair RHD was going to be cheap?
Now that Larsson plays on a team that actually scores goals and will likely get some PP time I think people are going to be very surprised. |

we'll have to wait and see.. but I doubt theres a single NJ fan who doesn't like the trade.
and we are saving our surprised reactions for Zaitsev.. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Fun fact of the day. Zaitsev had as many goals in the playoffs this year as Radulov. 4 each. |

Of course. When you are the lowest scoring team in the league (by a wide margin) and you bring in Hall it's a great thing. But I don't think anyone is dancing in the street to be rid of Larsson. |

Outside of price there isn't anyone they should be sick g with over price. They were "upset he was seeming to have too much fun" that is utterly moronic. They should want ore of that, not less. It's lunacy. |

D>wingers
No chance you get OEL...so Edm sits on 103 power forwards and misses playoffs some more because they have no D?
I'll wait and see myself...Larsson sounds like a good player but I'll wait and watch.
You could be right ( on the bad trade ) but we won't know for awhile IMO - Garnie
Defence isnt necessarily more important than wingers..
Hall is one of the best wingers in the game.. I know OEL isnt being moved, but Edmonton should have demanded more..
They traded a very good 1st overall pick for a defenceman who doesnt score.. |

Alot will need to happen before I even begin to start thinking of this as anything other than a fleecing. |

I dont think it should matter what position they play. You don't trade an elite player at a position for a good player at another. |

Well Edmonton gave up 2.95 goals per game last year, if a healthy Klefbom and Larsson can get that team down to anywhere near league average, would it be worht the move? |

They have lots of scoring ability up front...they need D
We had a great scoring winger too...it didn't get us too far because our D was horrific.
Sure they may have overpaid, but that was destiny regardless of who they traded for. IMO |

Keep in mind Edmonton has Larsson for 5 more years at a 4 mil cap hit. That had to factor into their decision. Edmonton isn't exactly on the wish list of places to sign for most players. |

If i were the athlete i would agree... But if i were management i wouldnt like him always having "fun"..
PK just seemed like he needed an adjustment.. his ego was too high.. and im sure he was humbled by the trade. |

I don't think him having too much fun was the reason for the trade...
Anyways, just seeing both sides...I think he's a good D....just would avoid on my team if I could.

No..
Unless Larsson is a Norris nominee next year Edmonton lost the trade. |

Nobody is giving you their #1 d for HALL, nobody unless you wanted Subban at $9m and you gave up Hall and Pull-ur-jarvi...not a trade I would have done.
Has anyone in here watched Larsson for more than 3 shifts? Ya, me either.
I'm hoping for Edm he helps them make the playoffs.

I think the most damning thing about the Candiens happened yesterday when their GM essentially said "I signed Radulov because no one else wanted to come here, what do you want from me." |
