Sorry Michael but I had to stop reading after that...

The line up for majority of the season was a joke with the exception of 23, 15, 55 and 90. 9 showed some nice stuff at times too. This roster lacks creativity, speed, skill, scoring ability. If Murray sits on his hands and lets us ice a very similar offensive roster he deserves to be fired. I think he knows and wants to shake things up and we will hopefully see that come tomorrow and early next week

Nobody can sign til tomorrow.

You've fired Murray 50 times in the last 4 days because "if we ice the same roster next year he deserves to be fired." Why don't you wait til the process starts before you complain about his "failure to change before next year."

- Der Kaiser

I never said that. I actually said the opposite. I expect him to be active. I'm arguing against doing nothing. Michael said he thinks we'll be fine if we don't sign any big FA's or trade for anyone and I disagree. I said in a hypothetical if Murray does nothing he should be fired because you'd be wasting your young talent. I think it's a guarantee he goes after big fish so I'm not worrying about it. I'm just making the point that if he did do nothing and iced the same team as last then that's inexcusable

I just don't see who that helps at all or how. Look, I get that he is a moron but that doesn't hurt us. It hurts his production, sure, but what about Moulson? Are we pressed against the cap that we need to get rid of him?

"He gives the city a bad name" Yeah, because Buffalo NEVER had a bad name before Kane, right?

"He's overpaid and underproduces" So does Moulson, Ennis, Franson, Foligno, Girgensons, etc.

"He's arrogant" That's not relevant

I just don't see the situation where any person with a mildly functioning brain says "We need to get rid of him and not only am I willing to do it for nothing I'm wiling to have a cap penalty to do it." Because we totally have someone to take his spot, right?

Some people just live for the drama. They act like it effects their life and complain about it accordingly .

Sure if he signs. Which is not a guarantee and he is also not guaranteed to produce like a top 6 winger next year either
- MCGUIZZY

It is also not a guarantee Kane stays out of jail

Neither is Kane, he didn't this year.

I was a huge Kane Supporter when he first got here.

He is paid to produce, he needs to be 20+ points better next year.

Even if he gets a 20 point increase, that wouldn't put him in the top 50 in terms of points.

You build with centers who can make wingers better. Wingers are easier to find. The elite wingers are hard to come by but the ones that can plug in next to a good center and put in their tap ins are a dime a dozen. Look no farther than this year's cup winner. We're fine.
- Zschalberg

You mean like how Eichel and O'Riley tried to make Moulson, Girgensons, Foligno etc better? Sometimes the wingers just aren't capable of scoring no matter how good the center.

You know exactly what I mean.

He can stay out late all he wants, stay out of trouble. Why is that so hard for him?

It seems all other Sabres players can do it.

- ImThatGuy

I don't see an incident at a bar as trouble imo. I've gotten drunk and had incidents at bars, I don't see myself as someone who can't stay out of trouble.

Again, to each his own, but this to me is hardly the straw that breaks the camel's back. You want to trade him for his lack of production, I can understand. But how does this affect the win-loss record of the team today? It's not a distraction when it's summer and there's nothing to distract from.

Kane is innocent until proven guilty, some should try and figure that out.

Locating a trade partner and enticing a player to sign with the Sabres is not an easy task. Every team is trying to do the same thing and every year not every team gets it done. Maybe 10 teams ?

A good GM can get it done. I'm confident in Murray

Some should try to figure out that trouble follows you everywhere you go the problem might actually be Kane.

We've had to say this three times over the past year. There's a pattern.

Not saying I want him gone, though. He's a good player.

What if it is a combination.

You may not think of it as a big deal, but I am sure his teammates do

The owner who was trying to show off the city had to deal with a situation his player got in. You think he is Ok with that.

Regardless if you like it or not, athletes are held to a higher regard. He is also not young anymore he is going on 25.

So you think that the only wingers that we have are literally the 3 worst players on our team? I never said keep the same players and use bottom 6 guys as top wingers. I said you build with the center first. We've done that. Now we need to get capable wingers to complement them. That doesn't mean insert me into the team and I'm going to score 40, but it means it's a lot easier to find than needing an elite winger for an average center.

Btw, Eichel did make Girgensons better when they played together. It just shows how awful Girgensons is. http://www.thescore.com/news/945485

I agree with you...

BUT....

I'm not a huge fan of the fact that his name has now been linked to not so great incidents twice in just over a year.

Whether they're accurate or not, I'd prefer if he learned how to keep himself from something like this even being a possibility.

And no one said he is guilty of anything except being in the media again for a reported incident.

Why is it always him?

Why is Risto not getting involved?
Foligno?
Reinhart?
Eichel?

Do those guys just sit at home and not go out?

I agree Girgensons was awful Eichel tried to feed him but he missed the net. I'm saying we need to upgrade our wingers in the top six. If you're saying the same thing then we agree

We have at least 6 players on this team who are worse than him. Kane stops us from doing absolutely nothing and you say you would ship him out for any player in the league.
- Zschalberg

Well, I think my preferred option would be to keep him around for a year and serve him on a silver platter to Vegas. I didn't even start on the stupid penalties he takes on a routine basis. Nothing like going back to the box after you just got out.
