Given that it's UFA and there will be a premium. I'd be willing to go to $6M on Okposo for 2 years. He'd never do it and for good reason. I really wish you could add optional years to a contract in the NHL. That would make it so much easier. 2 year deal guaranteed and a 3rd, 4th and 5th all optional from either side. Plus it makes everything more interesting. Will the team pick up player Y's option? Will player X opt out?
