Decent but its not what TB TOR BUF FLA have long term. If DET would've still been in the West they would've been out of the playoffs 2 years ago. Stammers would obviously help and speed up a rebuild/retool in DET but they need a lot more all over. If you are even just ranking TB TOR BUF FLA DET #1 defenseman, the Wings have the 5th best in that bunch, same thing at wing. So in a sense DET may need Stammers more than any of the other four just to stay with them, but then again why we he want to be in something like that then.

Wait, for the trade for Datsyuk's contract? I thought that move was genius on Arizona's part. They get a cap hit, don't have to pay the money since he retired (Right? I looked in the CBA but my eyes bled trying to find it), and got a pick in the process. Only 1 year of paying it on the cap, I think it's a great move by them.

Add - Regardless of this whole thing, Kane was brought in here to score 30 goals a season. The best thing he did last year was fight the same guy three times in one game.
